Photography by Paolo Jimeno.
Explorer by heart. Photography as my passion.
I was born to a family that loves to travel. When I was young, my parents would allow me to skip school just so I can join family trips. I will never forget one of the things that my parents would always tell me: that a week's travel is equivalent to a hundred school books. I have learned tremendously from all the places I have seen, the cultures I have experienced, and the food I have tasted from my travels.
Photography came to me at a later age. My parents always thought I was going to be the doctor in the family, having earned a degree in biology. I bought my own camera when I was 18 years old and have never since traveled without it. I always wanted to capture what was around me whenever I'm away. I barely have pictures of myself only because I'd much rather be behind the lens than be in front of it.
Will not and cannot travel without my camera. Always the shutterbug. Favorite travel apps include: TripIt (for automatic Calendar input), Trip Advisor (for tips on what to see, where to stay and where to eat), Four Square (for location sharing), and of course... AirBnB!
Countries I've visited so far:
Thailand (Bangkok, Phuket), Cambodia (Siem Reap), Vietnam (Saigon), China (Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, Beijing), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur), Singapore, South Korea (Seoul, Busan)
