I'm a High School teacher.
Deb was a great host. Very nice house, small but clean and warm. Great yard for my dog!
Great host, apartment was perfect for our requirements.
Deb was a pleasure to deal with, my friends and I loved the place!
Cute & very unique place in a great location. A great way to test out the Tiny House concept.
The house it attractive, charming, clean, well-maintained. But realize it's a minimalist space (bed it right up under the ceiling: not good for those who sit up in bed too quickly!)
Deb & Kol are really friendly and helpful. If you have any trouble or questions, they'll go out of their way to help!
The Tiny Homes were fun to experience, I would definitely recommend everyone try it. Tiny homes are the way of the future! The only negative was the noisy surroundings of the neighbourhood bars, tough to sleep.
My wife and I have been following the tiny house movement for the last couple years, but had never seen one in person! This was a perfect opportunity for us to stay in this beautifully built tiny house, and get a first hand idea of what life would be like in one.
Everything was clean, the shower was hot, the beds were memory foam mattresses, and we met some very nice people, including the hosts.
Highly recommend this, we had a blast! Walked to dinner...then desert...then across the street for a late night snack. Thanks Deb!
The tiny house hotel is such a novel and unique place to stay! We spent our stay in the Pearl and it felt like a true Portland experience. We especially loved the communal area with the fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and comfy hammock. We had a chance to enjoy some local craft brews around the fire one evening with Kol and some other guests staying that weekend. A very community oriented feel. We were also lucky enough to get a tour of all three houses to see their unique features which was awesome!
It’s located in a great neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants and shopping nearby, and Deb made some great suggestions on places not to be missed! It is a little noisy in the evening so the earplugs and white noise machines were much appreciated. I would recommend a stay here for anyone curious about tiny home living or simply looking for something truly unique!
The Rosebud was awesome! It was clean and easy to get to. Deb Delman, the host, was very easy to work with, even though I was coming in much later then expected.
The amenities were great as well, tea and coffee were available, as well as a, fitting the tiny house aspect, tiny but full bathroom. Many of the outlets had both the standard US wall outlet and two USB charging ports, which was great. There were books of local interest and of interest to small house lovers, as well as a few games and plenty of art on the walls.
We had a most enjoyable and memorable stay at Caravan. Deb and Kol are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive hosts. They are excellent resources for info on Portland dining and points of interest- esp. those that are off the beaten path. The Tandem tiny house is unbelievably well appointed with many thoughtful little touches (coffee and a tea selection, for example) that make for very pleasant surroundings. The Alberta neighborhood is eclectic and has lots going on- tons of excellent shopping and dining options in easy walking distance. Quick access to downtown Portland as well. There is some noise from nearby Alberta street and from the adjacent bar but we didn't find it bothersome, and I think that's the price you pay for being immersed in such a cool neighborhood.
Never stay in a hotel if you are in this area of Portland. The Tiny House is the ONLY way to go. Location, really amazing. So much to see and do just in that neighborhood. The Tiny House itself was truly exceptional. It was very clean. You are given a code to enter the 'common' area that gives you your own perfect and private oasis in the middle of this fantastic neighborhood. Then you can retreat to your private little house that has so many things to make it feel like a home more than a hotel. I am a light sleeper and read mentions of noise but I had no issues at all. With the windows open you will hear muffled voices from the restaurants but with the provided white noise machine I had no problems. With the windows closed it was very quite. Very similar to having a house in an urban setting. I cannot say enough about this place. It is truly a great deal and I cannot wait to go back. I was slightly hesitant when I booked because this was a new experience for me, but I could not be happier with the outcome. Fantastic!
Deb is a great source of knowledge about Portland---she knows tons of people and will welcome you into her home and give you the scoop on what to check out while you're staying at her place.
The location can't be beat. It's in the heart of Alberta-- one of the most vibrant neighborhoods in the City.
