Great place, great area, great host!!
This was our second time staying in this great apartment in a great neighbourhood hosted by a great and unendingly helpful guy. We'll be back again.
Shaun was amazing - we arrived on Monday May 14th, 2012, and was stuck in the highway into Chicago. Shaun had given me his cellphone number to arrange key pick-up, and called us to checkin when we didn't arrive at 5pm! He was kind and accommodating, and arranged to meet us when we finally arrived at 8pm!
The apartment was fantastic - central location, 5min walk from Division blue "L" stop. The neighbourhood was safe, and the bi-level apartment was perfect size for our family of 4. All towels/ beddings were freshly laundered, and the apartment had built-in washer/dryer as well! Shaun left a handful of Chicago brochures, L subway maps etc that proved to be helpful. He was always accessible via phone / text should we have any questions.
This was my first time using AirBnB, and I am so glad we connected with Shaun! Had the most amazing time in Chicago at his Wicker Park apartment, and I am sure I will be back again!
My parents stayed here and said the apartment was lovely. Clean, comfortable and convenient. Very spacious. Would be five stars, accept the alley entrance is filthy and there were some sound issues with drunk-ass people leaving the neighboring bar. Shaun is fantastic and attentive. I would absolutely recommend it.
We loved staying in this Wicker Park apartment for our Chicago stay. It is right in the heart of things, surrounded by restaurants and shops, and located between two El stops on the blue line, which takes you to/from the airport. It is very easy to take the train or bus into downtown and to points elsewhere. The apt. is large and airy - we loved the light. And it's very clean. It's about 50 feet from the El going by, but that didn't bother us at all - it made us feel like we were part of the City. Shaun was very responsive whenever we needed something - a restaurant recommendation or help getting back in after locking ourselves out. We really appreciated his accessibility. With our pad in Wicker Park, we felt superior to all the people we met who were staying in big hotels in the Loop!
Big and clean apartment in an awesome neighborhood. Parking for free just around the corner. The only "bad thing" is to have the train tracks right there...but if you haven't stopped doing things in the whole day, probably at night you will be just tired and this won't be that important! :-)
