I didn't have a chance to meet or communicate much with Shawn, as he booked less than 24 hours before check-in.
Shawn left the cottage in good shape; clean and tidy.
Unfortunately, Shawn lacked any real communication with me. He apparently had a list of concerns about the cottage, but the first I heard about any of them was when I read his public review. He chose not to address anything with me personally either during his stay or after, and his complaint list was long, nit-picky, and largely unfounded. A few of the complaints were about features that I clearly advertise; I'm surmising that he didn't really read my profile description or house rules at all.
I could have easily resolved some of his concerns had he contacted me (in the house next door!) during his stay. This lack of communication seems contrary to the airbnb approach of community, communication, and warmth.
I would not rent to this person again.
