We had an amazing weekend at the Andresen’s! We absolutely loved the place, it’s extremely well decorated, every single inch of the house has a special meaning, with lots of histories to be explained… The house is big, very comfortable, cosy and it really makes you feel at home. The room where we stayed it is nothing but incredible! Very spacious, comfortable and in line with the stylish decoration of the house, with beautiful views of the garden. We can also ensure that it is hurricane-proofed! (We had a very windy weekend in Bristol). Susan and Pete treated us really well, with lots of little details that made us feel at home rather than away from it. They are a very interesting, friendly and well-travelled couple, really worth a long chat.
The breakfast was simply incredible! As other reviewers have already said, it is delicious, with very fresh products and including a wide variety of options. We strongly recommend to stay in Susan and Pete’s house, we will definitely choose it again if another trip to Bristol comes up!
Wow what a wonderful review. it was great to have you both stay and you would be very welcome if you come again in sunnier times. All the best in Meribel!
We really enjoyed the stay at your house. The room was amazing, so spacious and such views across the countryside. The continental breakfast with homemade granola completed the experience. We had a great pub meal in the village just a few minutes walk away. You and your husband are so friendly and welcoming. We'd love to come back sometime.
So glad you enjoyed your stay; it would be lovely to see you both again one day if you return to Bristol to see daughters, in happier circumstances!
My boyfriend and I had a fabulous stay thanks to Susan and her husband Pete. Beautiful room with stunning views. Breakfast was very fantastic very fresh and organic.
Will definitely come back and stay again.
Thanks Emma, you would be very welcome, or your parents if they are visiting your brother.
Sue and Peter gave us a warm welcome into their lovely home. The room was large, airy, tastefully decorated and had fabulous views.
Their home is in a very quiet cul-de-sac and is a convenient, short drive from Bristol.
Susan and Pete are great hosts! If you want to visit Bristol then you should stay here. They live maybe a 10min drive out ot town but the location is worth it. The view that you get from the room is wonderful countryside. The room is really spacious with a sofa with a view and a table where you can have breakfast. Breakfast is really good with home jams and fruits. In all, there is a good vibe in the house and Susan and Pete are very relaxed and helpful guests. We received tea and cookies upon arrival ;-)
My girlfriend and I stayed here for a weekend spa getaway. Sue and her husband Pete were wonderful hosts and went above and beyond what anyone would ever expect from a Bed & Breakfast. Their home is beautiful and is full of charm and surprises.
The attention to every little detail is evident here (and always appreciated!) - breakfast in the morning was delivered by Pete for us to enjoy at a lovely laid out table in our room with a stunning view. Freshly squeezed orange juice, high quality fruit, pastries, Greek yogurt and great muesli, not forgetting the gigantic cafetiere - we both loved the coffee. There was even a bowl of clementines left in our room in case we got peckish! I also sampled Sue's carrot cake which was appreciated after the long drive to Bristol. Amy had to politely decline as she had scoffed half a lindt bar during the drive.
The shower/wet room was brilliant - it took the mickey out of the electric shower we have here in Birmingham!
As for the location - the house is tucked away nicely in a lovely part of Long Ashton. Very accessible and there was ample room to park. The house has sprawling views of the surrounding countryside and is near a number of footpaths and bike trails. More importantly, the Andresen's live about a 10 minute stroll to the Bird In Hand, a solid pub if you like Real Ale or Gin. Easy drive to Clifton/Bristol City Centre.
All in all a perfect place to visit for a long weekend.
Although I did not meet Susan, the communication with her was excellent and the check-in was seamless. Welcome back any time.
Susan les personnes qui l'accompagnaient ont été de très bons hôtes : c'était très facile d'échanger avec eux et tout s'est très bien passé. Nous les recommandons chaudement.
We were delighted to welcome Susann and her husband who are lovers of France, they discover by bike , solo or with friends.
They gave us a room impeccable.
The most fantastic people to have in our house and since we by coincidence had some common history there was these good and interesting conversations that gives great memories. People that also rent out their own home with airbnb can easily adapt and falls naturally into the rhythm of the house. I can definitely recommend them to others.
Great experience, and can recommend Susan to any host! A pleasure to meet her!
Susan and her husband were great guests, and it has been a pleasure to chat with them over breakfast. Our only regret is that their stay had been cut short by the airport strike. Pity! Absolutely reccomended
