DO NOT BOOK. This place is a tourist trap, and I would never recommend it nor go back there. While the room was OK and the breakfast approximately fine (nothing great, cereals and toasts), what was really annoying was the lack of professionalism the manager showed. After Michael put us in touch with one of his associates to do some activities on the island including the hike of the volcano, we decided to go for it. We got the understanding that to have a good experience, the weather had to be clear, and we wanted to make sure we would pick the right day as we were not in a rush. Chris (Michael's associate) met us the next morning at 9am (we were supposed to meet at 7.30am and had been stuck at the hotel waiting for him) and insisted that the weather was good enough (notwithstanding the rather big clouds in the sky) and that it was not too late to leave. We ended up taking the road with a 3rd guy (supposedly Chris was busy and could not take us himself), did 2 hours in a car to find the volcano wrapped up in dark clouds and under the rain. The driver said we could just go back and do the hike tomorrow - we agreed to that and drove all the way back to Kingstown, in the mood you could imagine after wasting half a day. Back at the hotel, Michael told us that if we wanted to do the hike again the next day, we had to pay again. When we pushed back that Chris insisted we went that day, Michael said he had nothing to do with Chris (it is worth mentioning that we paid the hike at the hotel with a credit card, and at this point Michael apparently had a lot to do with Chris!) and that if it were for him he would not have sent us that day because of the weather. When I asked for a refund Michael became aggressive, stood up and asked me if I wanted to "check him". I'm not that easy to impress, and we ended up getting ~2/3rd of our money back, the remainder supposedly going to cover the gas. Afterwards, I learned that while I was arguing with Michael, the other guy Chris was trying to scare my girlfriend by staring at her with insistence while facing her closely. Ironically, Chris had be the one to mention that the volcano hike was dangerous due to bad encounters that could happen in the event you get lost. Needless to say, the path was very straightforward, we did the hike and the transit by ourselves and it cost us a whooping 60EC all in, which compares to the 350EC asked by the (website hidden) Vincent is truly an amazing place and its people (the vast majority of them) are awesome; if you want to have a good taste of it, stay away from this hotel.
Great host and very friendly environment. The first room we were given smelled quite moldy, but upon request we were swiftly moved to another room that was great. Very friendly environment and the food served is tasty. I'd recommend you take a tour around the island, which can be arranged through the guest house at a reasonable cost.
We were severly delayed (13 hrs) from Barbados but Michael was right there to pick us up at tha airport anyway which was such a relief. We arrived safely and the room was nice and spacious and clean and the beds were lovely. So comfortable! We woke up to a beautiful morning and a fantastic view. Breakfast is included but we opted for the 10 US dollar breakfast which was delicious and a great start for the day. Both Michael and Rosie made us feel welome and I can very much recommend this hotel/B&B.
