I live in New Delhi since 16 years and enjoy it to the fullest .
I have hosted guests for many years, I look forward sharing my home with you, too . I enjoy music, film and travelling . I love Delhi and love metting people and share experience .
My stay at Anita's place was not a pleasant experience. When I arrived, Anita attempted to sell me costume jewelery even before showing me my room - the necklace, with (golden) "color that won't come off" was overpriced even for European standards. Besides, it is a weird understanding of hospitality to try to talk guests into buying things - of questionable quality at that - first thing on arrival. After that Anita proceeded to showing me saris to buy and only after I clearly stated that I would prefer what I had come for - a room - she agreed to show me the latter. The room I was given was not the one I had booked, which is advertised having a separate entrance. Neither the room I booked nor any other than the one offered was available. The room was spacious, but the furniture was tattered and there was only a very tiny window which could hardly be opened because of cables hanging across it. The sheets were semi-clean, showing what appeared to be old blood-stains. Privacy was sparse, since there were connections (two thin doors and a window only covered by a curtain) to three family rooms, which were rather noisy. The room could not be locked from the outside, and leaving my luggage unattended made me feel uncomfortable, given the former behavior of my host. Anita claimed that she normally rented the room for 3000 rupies instead of the 1200 I paid for the room I originally booked, which imho would be ridiculously overpriced.
I would not recommend a stay at that place and would have refused to stay there, had I had to stay there for more than one night.
Though a little over priced, but the overall stay was comfortable. The host is very warm and welcoming
We met the very friendly Anita, who received us in his house in South Delhi, in a very quiet and relaxing neighborhood, close to a park.
We felt safe, in a warm and friendly atmosphere, like at home.
This is a very good place to recommend.

wonderful host! very friendly and safe and everyone is part of an extended family but ample privacy if needed. Great location!

Anita and Swasti (her daughter) are extremely friendly hosts! They are eager to help assist in any way... with directions, restaurant recommendations, market locations, and even by offering their homemade food as well. There is a washing machine for use as well as a fully equipped kitchen. Also, the main market is only a couple minutes walk from the house which is quite useful. Anita and Swasti made my stay enjoyable with their welcoming spirits and friendly attitudes :)
This was such a sweet place, I feel so lucky to have found it. Anita and her daughter Swasti are great hosts - warm, welcoming, funny and they went out of their way to make sure we're comfortable. Anita shared food with us and even took us out in Delhi to watch a movie and invited us to a wedding. GK2 is a great location - safe, close to shopping areas and within good distance from the metro to get into central Delhi. I'll definitely stay here again!
Our stay was at best average. The location is good as GK2 is quite central and Anita gave us many suggestions about sight seeing.
As far as the rooms go, there is only one private room with bath. Others have a shared bath. We were not given this private room for one night - being a couple this was quite inconvenient. The room was not very brightly lit and had a lot of unrelated goods lying in there.
There is no real breakfast provided - some tea and self-made toasts. Although the kitchen is free for use, we did not feel like using it as its no so clean.
Overall we did not spend too much time as we were out most times.
Anita was a very warm, friendly and helpful person. Tho I had only two days stay, but I was at home, had my breakfast to dinner in time.
I would definetly stay at her place again in future.
The main "M" block market is walking distance, there are some nice resturants, ask Anita and she would always help you out to choose from.
First and foremost Anita is very prompt in answering for any query regarding the flat.
Anita's place is a home away from home experience. She is very kind and friendly. M block Market is just a 7 min walk which puts this place on an added advantage.
I would recommend place for the travelers.
I have stayed at Anitas homestay on 3 separate occasions on a recent trip to India. The house is in a very safe neighbourhood and has a friendly vibe. There are 3 or 4 rooms that rent, a couple with sperate bathroom. It's really just like home and away from the bustle of Delhi. Recommended.
Well a very warm host and an even better friend. She is sharing her house with others since last so many years and the house is so beautifully done. I really appreciate how she takes care of the cleanliness & hygiene. I would recommend this place to all my friends. Also being run by a woman special care has been taken for the security of single woman.
My mother is a great host. She is very helpful and there is always a friendly atmosphere , anybody would love to stay here! .I will surely recommend this place for my friends. The place is well located, 10 minutes from GK II market The room and amenities are just home like.
