Kevin (the host) was a pleasure.
- Simple instructions
- Easy access to Barn/House
Listing was very accurate
- Barn is lovely with a lot of character
- The barn isn't "luxurious" but what's the point when you are skiing
- More space then described in the listing
- Kitchen and living room setup promote a good-time
Thank you for a great weekend. I wanted to veg, by myself, and hibernate. This apartment was perfect for that. I was surprised at how 'outfitted' the place was - fully outfitted kitchen with food staples (oatmeal, fruits, cereals, spices, eggs, etc.) available and toiletries in bathroom. Nice surprise! Make sure to have (website hidden)d and verified with Kevin about finding the house, especially if arriving at night, lol. Thanks for a revitalizing weekend, it was lovely!
This was my first experience with Airbnb and it definitely set the standard high. I met Kevin, Margaret and Anna separately and they were all so warm and welcoming. When we came, there was a toasty warm fire set- which was most appreciated because it was a very cold day. As you go through the apartment, you notice all the thoughtful details they did- from setting the table for two, to having frozen raspberries in the freezer, which made it so cozy and perfect. They left an information folder about the house which was quite intriguing and was a good read by the wood stove. We had most everything we could think of for breakfast (again, they thought of everything) The hardest part was leaving! It was very quiet and the view from the windows was idyllic. a perfect home away from home. and it certainly felt like that- a home. I will be very happy to come back to this place!
Kevin left the entire apartment filled with a basic starter kit and lots of groceries to help us feel right at home. The space was exactly like it was described/displayed. We loved out stay at Joshua's Retreat and will definitely recommend this place to anyone who would like a getaway to VT!
From the moment that we started to plan our trip Kevin has been more than helpful and responsive in regards to questions/accommodations we needed in order to make our reservation. Once we made our reservation, he was also always very helpful with questions we had and very quick to respond. The house is super charming and great space. They have a huge kitchen that was fully equipped, even with a stocked fridge! Coffee machine AND expresso machine, with grinder, super plus. The whole house was very comfortable, it was freezing outside but you would never know by the temperature in the house, was super warm. we loved everything about the house and the host, definitely planning on staying here again next time we are going snowboarding. Very conveniently located to the slopes (about 30 mins) as well as to Manchester center. Thanks again!
Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful with working the wood stove. The space was welcoming and well-stocked. We had a lovely stay and would come again.
Mending wall was excellent. Everything was very comfortable, the house was charming and spacious, with plenty of games, movies, and books for entertainment. We went with a group of six to ski Stratton mountain. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and snacks. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Stratton.
The apartment was beautiful, well stocked, and very cozy. We came right in between big snowfalls, and the Shaftsbury grounds were beautiful. Kevin, Margaret, and Anne were very hospitable, and helped us keep the wood-burning stove lit all weekend. We look forward to coming back soon, and also checking out Mending Wall!
Great stay at Mending Wall...again! We'll be back again next year!
Kevin was wonderful. He left us with a great supply of optional food as well as a beautiful apartment to stay in. Wood (found in the garage next to the apt.) was plentiful for the fire. A very cozy place!
Kevin was a great guest! Welcomed back anytime!
It was great having Kevin and his family stay with us. They're very kind and friendly. They are welcome back anytime.
lovely couple! pleasant, talkative, knowledgeable, a pleasure to have them.
I have known Kevin for over 10 years. He is an excellent colleague and professional in every way, and I would recommend him highly as a businessperson. I expect that everyone who stays in his home will have a positive and lovely experience. Enjoy!
