Before having a family and settling in Portland, my most valuable possession was my passport. Traveling was indeed a passion of mine and as I remodeled the basement I had fellow travelers as well as family visits in mind.
Over the years, I've lived in three continents and have consulted for governments and businesses before settling in Portland. Portland is a great little city to retire to motherhood because of the great appreciation for the slow food movement, the sharing economy, and a supportive vibe around children and family diversity.
