Response from Pui Yan:
We hosted many excellent guests but we just had very poor communication with Nicola. we checked her settling in at 5pm (not as she said check in late) on her check in day and asked if everything is alright. she said yes. however she messaged the 6 ft sofa is too small for the 3rd guest at 1.25am, that we cannot do anything after midnight.
so we immediately sent a soft foam in the next day. We didn't hear from her since then until we have to claim them for their consumption up almost all toilet rolls and potato chips we stored up for future supply under the cupboard and a bowl they BROKE (they didn't tell they broke it and threw away the pieces).
firstly, we could swap a sofa bed with another flat in the same building if we knew that sofa is not big enough for them right away in daytime. Well, we have got neither other complaint so far with this long sofa nor the 3 folded soft foam. Bed softness is always very personal.
secondly, since we are a HOMESTAY, we marked on the House Rules and on a reminder a list of supplies with Quantity upon guest's arrival for convenience only. we mentioned we will charge for what we stored up for the future guests. We also provide a list of things to remind guests to bring along or purchase in the neighbourhood a week before their arrival.
We are pretty sure the utensils and equipment are enough for three guests because we hosted many 3 person guests in this flat and we have plenty of positive reviews.
i hope Nicola and friends read through and respect the House Rules of a Home Stay in the future.
