The reservation was canceled 6 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Claudia's apartment is a very good value for its location and she was very accommodating in allowing my in laws to stay with us at no extra charge the day we arrived. The apartment is quiet, spacious and has six beds.
When I made my reservation, she replied that she had two other units that were available and encouraged me to contact her by email outside of Airbnb. After a few exchanges I was about to cancel my offer out of frustration when she accepted it. My sister in law picked up the keys for me and noted that there was no toilet paper, soap, or towels. When asked, Claudia provided the toilet paper, but claimed that towels and soap were not included and that it stated that on her Airbnb page. When I checked it did not and actually towels are pictured on the bed. When we arrived we found a few minor repairs that need to be made (sink leaking, front door key missing and some baseboard missing). The layout is not the most pleasant and the bedroom with 3 beds has no doors which might be a problem for some. When my sister in law was checking out she was told that she had to pay a $20 cleaning fee and was told that it said $30 on the Airbnb page. In checking the website, it did say in the description that there was a $30 cleaning fee. These fees should be collected as part of the Airbnb payment as other hosts do and not collected directly in cash. Claudia did leave a very nice and positive phone message for my sister in law after everything was completed.
In summary, this is a great deal at $80 per night for budget travelers, but you do not get a first class experience. The other nicer apartments generally run $120 to $200 per night in this area for a 3 bedroom place
