Everything was perfect and just as magical as our first stay 3 weeks ago ( see my first review below). This time we were able to try a few more local restaurants Yiasou and Rolling River Cafe, both very pleasant. My friend who came with me loves birds and spotted a good variety of species in the woods surrounding the lake. Sabrina is an excellent host and highly recommend her place!
Where do I even begin??? I can go on and on and on about all the wonderful things we experienced during our stay in Sabrina's truly special and magical home. From the first time we made contact inquiring about the house until the very end when we sadly had to leave this 'little piece of heaven' Sabrina was a complete joy to communicate with. She was attentive, warm, inviting and just plain sweet. We felt like we knew her and continued to feel so very connected to her throughout our stay eventhough we never actually met. All our communication was by text/email and all our questions were answered promptly, clearly and warmly. The house has incredible energy and you can tell that it receives a lot of TLC by the owner and past guests.
The home is decorated in a funky vintage rustic ethnic style that we loved. And being three women of color, we very much loved and appreciated all the Native American and African art. Sabrina has great taste and her attention to details is very much reflected in what she chooses to display in her home.
The surrounding water, and especially the waterfall, was truly the highlight of our stay. It is such an incredibly unique experience to hear the sound of water all day long - from the moment you wake up, during your meals, until you go to bed - it's really a wonderful part of this house and we still can't believe that we were soooooo lucky to stay here.
The house was super clean, fully stocked with toilet paper and towel paper, laundry detergent, any kind of kitchen appliance you could want, great quality sheets/comforters/blankets in all the bedrooms and super comfortable furniture throughout the house.
The house is and feels very secluded which we loved but at the same time you are only five minutes from town where you will find anything you need such as gas stations, 24 hour Shoprite, liquor store, auto repair shops and an awesome Korean grocery store! We really loved that combination and appreciated being able to connect with civilization whenever we wanted to, although truth be told, you really don't want to leave the house, it's that amazing!
If you get the opportunity to stay in this amazing house condsider yourself to be very, very, very lucky! It's truly a gem and Sabrina is a terrific host, on so many levels. We will definitely be back again and again!!
Sabrina was a great host and the house was truly "magical". Nested in a forest by a lake, and surrounded by the sounds of a waterfall, the experience is so tranquil and relaxing. Sabrina stocks the house well with all necessities, and kindly accommodated a few special requests. The layout of the very spacious house is great for families and friends, with 3 separate living spaces inside as well as 2 balconies. The house is filled with beautiful art and so tastefully designed. It was such a joy to stay there, will be going back again soon!
Sabrina was an excellent host. She provided us with terrific information about the area and was very quick to get back to me via text and email. The house is eclectic and comfortable! It was clean, the kitchen was very functional and there were more than enough bathrooms. There is plenty of space to spread out both inside and outside the house. Great stay!
I can't even begin to tell you how amazing the house is, or how wonderful the weekend that we spent there was.
Isolated from civilization, next to a lake, a fun house with lots of things to do and feel like you're really away from everything.
We will definitely come back, words don't do this house justice! Sabrina's house really is magical, especially for visitors that know how to make the most of the trip.
Thank you Octavian, I welcome your return!
Sabrina was a great host. She was very responsive and welcoming. Her home is on a gorgeous piece of property and having my morning coffee with the view from her back deck could not be beat! It is a very quiet and calm environment, so a good choice for those who want to get away from it all.
Sabrina's house has a warm and rustic vibe to it. Our favorite thing to do was to sit out on the deck overlooking her pond with a cold beer. It's secluded but close enough to shops and a few restaurants. Nice walking tracks around there as well.
Just as described with access and clear usage requests to some of the home's best amenities. A cozy escape, magical is really the right word for Sabrina's home and she, herself, made the stay all the more enjoyable with a warm welcome and open communication.
My family and my pup had a wonderful stay at Sabrina's house over Memorial weekend! We loved the location of the house, off the grid, tucked away in the woods with a pond right outside. The main floor is a great place to gather, the master bedroom is upstairs and there are 2 more bedrooms downstairs. There are also 3 full bathrooms, which was awesome. The stairs are a bit steep, but the downstairs has a private door to the exterior, so it was great to have an easy access. Sabrina keeps her place very clean and well prepared for guests as well as checked in to see if we needed anything. I had the pleasure of meeting her and she is honest, kind and thoughtful. My dad said it was the best Memorial Weekend he can remember. We can't wait to return to escape city life again! Thanks Sabrina!!!
Sabrina's home in Liberty was absolutely phenomenal. The pictures truly don't do justice for just how gorgeous both the house and property alike are. We enjoyed cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, relaxing on the multiple porches, and starting our day with coffee reflecting over the view of the pond. The sound of the water can be gently heard pretty much throughout the house and it was a lovely way to accentuate the already relaxing getaway. Sabrina also did a wonderful job compiling a comprehensive list of information on the area as well as instructions for the stay. We are already planning on returning. Highly recommended.
Gina was an incredible guest and I recommend her enthusiastically! I hope she returns.
Sabrina's house is an amazing and truly magical getaway. It is only 2 hours from NYC but will transport you to some cool relaxing place that you thought only existed in your dreams. It's so beautiful to wake up to the sound of the water rushing, the birds singing etc. etc. etc. She's a great hostess who bakes the best brownies in the northeast!
