Andy was polite and his party left the house in good condition. His party, however, exceeded the number of guests that he originally informed us of. According to his communications and the agreed amount of guests for which he paid for, there were to be five guests. However, in his review, he clearly states that seven persons stayed at the house. Accordingly, we prepared five beds for Andy. A small extra child's room off the master bedroom, which his guests opted to use was neither intended nor prepared for his additional two guests. Had he been honest and paid for the additional two people in his party, we would have prepared for them.
During his stay Andy expressed some reservations about the accommodations. We offered to give him a significant reduction and transferred money back to his account immediately. Now that we see that his misled us on the number of guests, we feel disappointment.
As billed clearly in the description of the house, this is a converted inn with vintage charm in a small Swiss village surrounded by the countryside. This is very clear from the photos. The house was left clean for Andy, as is always the case for our guests. Some of the architectural detailing is in older condition (such as the bathroom) and the expectation for luxury here given the size in relation to the price is overblown.
We wish Andy all the best in his future reservations with AirBnB.
