I bought this flat for my 3 kids for their study in Paris, they love the flat so much and begged me to keep it so they can go back to Paris from time to time. I live abroad with my husband. I hope you'll enjoy the great location of this flat.

Perfect! On our previous visits to Paris, we had stayed in the neighbourhood (hotels on Rue des Ecoles) but as we had our adult daughter with us on this visit, we needed something larger and Genevieve's apartment was the ideal solution - enough space for the three of us and in an area we know.
Genevieve and Benedicte could not have been more welcoming and the apartment was excellent - everything the listing and the photographs suggested. Being next door to an Eric Kayser boulangerie was a treat and we will miss our morning trip downstairs for a baguette, croissants and a pain au chocolate. With a metro station just around the corner and plenty of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood, the location is ideal and close to many of the main sights in Paris. It really could not be better and we would be delighted to be able to stay here again. Thank you! Merci beaucoup!
Genevieve's apartment was an amazing place for us to stay in Paris.
It has everything so the guest can feel like home.
The location of apartment is great, only 5 min walk from Cathédrale Notre Dame de Paris, Saint-Germain-des-Prés with it's restaurants, bars and good shops.
And a market right at corner of the building was superb! Food on Saturday and flea market on Sunday.
Wishing all the best to the host!

Our stay at 12 Rue Monge hosted by Genevieve was everything that I had hoped for. It is exactly what was described on AIRBNB so there were no nasty surprises. Very comfortable and great position near transport and wonderful restaurants. I would highly recommend it to any of my friends in Australia.
Amazing localization! The experience was really great. We had the support we needed from the 1st day to the last one.
The host was very welcoming. She provided us with juice, a baguette, bread, fruit, jam and other nice things. She showed us how everything in the apartment worked and made us feel at home.
This was the perfect apartment for our family as we visited Paris for a week with our two adult daughters over Thanksgiving 2014. There was enough room for us to spread out and have our own space - so much nicer than being in a hotel room!
We loved the area it is in, and the convenience of having the metro just a short walk away. Visiting the patisserie next door and down the street were everyday treats for us! There was an outdoor market around the corner as well. Notre Dame was a short walk away.
Benedicte met us as we arrived from the airport and could not have been nicer. We were supplied with a fresh baguette along with butter, milk, juice, fruit and jam - what a treat!
There was a grocery store around the corner, so that was convenient as well. Many restaurants were within walking distance. The apartment was clean and well maintained. We all enjoyed a hot shower every night before falling into our comfy beds after a long day exploring the sights in and around Paris. It was nice to have wifi included so we could plan our visits and check out restaurants.
We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Paris!
Genevieve's apartment was the PERFECT location for two "senior" friends to spend two weeks in Paris!
First, it really is centrally located and within walking distance of many of the sites to see in Paris - Notre Dame, St Chapelle, the Marais, the Sorbonne, Cluny Museum, Luxembourg Gardens, St Germain des Pres, the Louvre, the d'Orsay, Shakespeare and Company and much much more. For adventures farther away the metro is at the end of the block and the RER is about a 10 minute walk. The immediate area is a maze of twisty medieval streets that are fun to wander around -passing churches, schools, shops, bookstores and restaurants.
Second, the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The apartment is not on the street so you have no noise from traffic. There is a rumble from the metro that must run under the area but it didn't disturb us. There is a farmers market on the corner that operates several days a week. There is also a cheese shop, a wine shop and a charcuterie in the same plaza. TWO Eric Kayser bakeries are located on the street, one next door to the left and another to the right. A fresh, warm, delicious baguette is never far away! We also found a shop selling coffee beans a block away. And there is a mini Carrefour around the corner for all other market supplies.
Third, the apartment itself is quite spacious. The two actual bedrooms are bigger than most Paris hotel rooms with more than ample closet space. The mattresses on the beds were very comfortable and appeared to be relatively new. The living room was simply furnished with a sofa, TV, dining table and bookshelf. The bathroom has recently been remodeled with new tile, sink and cabinets. There is also a washer/dryer machine which was great for our long stay. The kitchen is tiny but efficient. It has all the essentials. The entire apartment was very clean and well cared for.
Communication with Genevieve was great. She responded quickly and answered all our questions. Genevieve's friend Benedicte met us at the apartment and explained everything to us. She was also available during our stay in case we needed something and she responded quickly when contacted.
If you are looking for a roomy, quiet, safe and spacious apartment in a great location - Genevieve's apartment is the spot for you. It's not like a hotel it's much more like being at home!
Thank you so much Peggy for such a nice review. I am please you enjoy your stay.
We had a wonderful 5 days in Genevieve's beautiful apartment. It was in a perfect position and was more spacious than we anticipated.
Genevieve provided us with excellent pre stay information and the lovely Benedicte greeted us at the apartment with all the information we needed to make our stay comfortable. The juice, milk, bread and fruit were really appreciated.
The fittings in the apartment are superb and we felt very comfortable, a lovely oasis after a busy day of sightseeing!
I will be recommending this apartment to friends and would definitely stay again myself.
Thanks so much Genevieve and Benedicte.
Our host made us feel very welcome and provided a welcome package of juice, bread etc. which was a very nice touch. The host was also flexible about making arrangements to meet us and give us a key which was much appreciated. The apartment is really nicely finished and the pictures on the airbnb site don't do it justice.
It is very quiet so ideal for a family travelling as we were. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of free space for hanging up clothes.
The kitchen is small as you would expect but well equipped. There is a lovely bakery just downstairs and a carrefour express very close by so really easy to shop for breakfast. The wifi in the apartment worked very well.
The apartment is very well located and easy to get the RER line from the airport. If you are taking this option to travel from the airport there is an elevator just off the platform in the RER Notre Dame St Michel stop - not marked except as the exit for Rue Privas. So much easier than negotiating escalators etc. Just turn right along the quays as far as the bridge with all of the locks on it just after Notre Dame and then go right along Rue Bernadine until you hit Rue Monge. Very straight forward.
We would be delighted to stay here again.
We met Benedicte on arrival as Genevieve was away. She was super friendly, she had made sure we had coffee, butter and marmalade and was waiting for us with a fresh baked baguette.
Place doesn't look exactly as the pictures with it was nice, clean, well located, and hosts are charming. Two rooms with double bed, very well located. All just as good as could be! thank you Benedicte and Genevieve for a great stay, making us feel at home.
I lived in this flat when studying in Paris and had the best time of my life. Great location, a few minutes from Notre Dame, St Michel, l'ile de la cite etc. One of the best bakery of Paris is located next to the flat entrance, I recommend the baguette monge and tarte monge. I'm glad my mother is keeping the flat as I live in London and go to Paris to visit my friends every 3 months.
