Initially the host was very easy to work with, she responded quickly and was flexible with our reservation. Unfortunately, when we arrived the room was not what we had expected. There were dirty dishes in the sink, the floors, counter tops and refrigerator had not been cleaned in some time. There was food on the floor and counters and dust bunnies everywhere. We called the host to discuss the conditions and even though she eventually agreed to reimburse our money when we decided not to stay there, she was argumentative regarding the situation. Obviously it is expected that when you pay $130 for a room, it will be clean. We are reasonable people that know there will be food in the refrigerator, etc, but when there is food all over the floor/countertops and it is clear that the place has not been thoroughly cleaned in some time, we tend to get upset. The upside to all of this was that Airbnb was amazing with the situation! They were quick to respond to our concerns and gave us a full refund.
Betty was a clean and respectable guest. Would definitely host her again!
