Had a great time staying at Jake's place. It's about a 10-15 minute bus ride into downtown, but the area that he lives in (Uptown) is a very cool place to stay in as well.
As far as the apartment, it was clean and had plenty of space for the 3 of us that were staying. Would recommend staying here for an affordable, easy trip to Minneapolis!
The place was clean, private, and conveniently located. Jakub was very flexible and an all-around gracious host. I was staying for a week, so he stopped by a couple of times during the afternoon to grab something from the apartment, but he made a point of always getting in touch with me by phone before coming up. No complaints at all -- this was my first experience using airbnb, and it turned out to be a very pleasant one.
Jakub was a wonderful host! The apartment was very nice, clean and comfy. It was ideally located, close to a great food co-op and transit. The neighborhood was safe and nice to walk around. Jakub provided helpful info on getting around Minneapolis, and sites to see. He is a very nice and personable young man, easy to talk with. I would definitely recommend friends and family stay at Jakub's apartment.
The place was exactly what I was looking for: it was clean, spacious, and only about a 20 minute walk from the convention center. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had some difficulty getting the key when I arrived.
Found Jakub's place after a previous air bnb reservation bailed on me. My mom and I stayed here for a conference that was held downtown.
- Great host. Jake was very responsive and generous with his space.
- Great location. We were able to walk almost everyday to and fro downtown (30 minute walk) and there are lots of restaurants, stores, sites, and coffee shops within walking distance. The Walker Art Museum and Lowry Park/Midtown greenway is a short walk away, and a fantastic organic co-op grocery (with meat!) is 2 blocks away.
- Excellent transportation options close by - we took the bus downtown, to airport, to Lake of Isles. Bike share is also 2 blocks away. If I had been by myself, I would have taken advantage of the bike system.
- Nicely appointed kitchen. Nice pots and pans, good quality sharp knives.
- Comfortable beds. My mom slept on the nice memory-foam bed, and I slept on the futon - both provided good sleeping.
- Very nice electronics set-up, though we didn't take advantage of it.
Only downside is that the apartment is a little dark, in an old building and you can hear the neighbors. It wasn't too bad except for the weekend. I had ear plugs with me for sleeping and that worked well. I recommend you bring them, just in case, if you are a light sleeper.
All in all, I would recommend Jakub's place and would stay here again.
Jake's place is very nice! We really enjoyned the apartment, I haven't had a chance to meet him in person but he was very helpful and flexible to arrange the check-in and check-out. I recommend! Thanks Jake!
The appartment is great ! Kitchen especially, with everything you need if you like to cook!
The bed is very comfortable too.
The neighborhood is really great : a lot of cafés and restaurants, grocery store is next to the apparment, buses and bikes also. The area is very close to museums, lakes, stores etc...
Downtown is just a few minutes away by bus.
Jakub was very warm, friendly and explained very well everything.
I strongly recommend this place.
My stay here was great. Jakub was a great host, and everything went very smoothly. His apartment is large, and fit our needs perfectly for attending a conference at the convention center. I usually walked, but there is also a "nice bike" rental nearby, which makes it even easier to get to the conference center.
Jakub was a great host and I had a fun week-long stay at his place. He was very prompt with responses and welcomed me when I arrived with some pleasant surprises! ;) The location is perfect - easy access to a lot of place especially if you're biking in this cycle-friendly city. There's a great organic co-op literally 60 seconds away. The place is clean and has everyone one would need for a comfortable stay. Thank you!
Jakub was a great host! My daughters and I had a wonderful stay in a great part of Minneapolis . The apt had plenty of room, was clean, and had a great TV set up.
Jakub and his girlfriend Angel gave great recommendations of where to go and where to eat. Would definitely stay again!
Jakub could not have been an easier guest, he was clean and respectful. I would have him back anytime! Thank you Jakub!
Jake was a great guest. Communication was great (he had some issues with flight delays but kept me informed) and he was so clean I could hardly tell he'd even been here. You are welcome back anytime, Jake!
I would rent to Jakub again. He and his girlfriend were friendly and quiet.
Jakub is a highly organized guy with a feature filled home. Nestled in my favorite part of Minneapolis, I can take a stroll from his place to one of several beautiful lakes or wonderful dining establishments. Jakub's kitchen is a haven of fun for the amateur chef, and the breakfast nook a great place to dine, work, or play games. I highly recommend this residence and host for a reliable and fun filled visit.
