Very nice & the place was gorgeous! Great way to start my trip!! Thank you!
Lovely home! Had a private room and bathroom. Laundry & dryer provided. Nice scenic walk to Brown's Bay (+/- 20mins). Peaceful location and nice neighbors.
Had ample towels, a cozy chill out area by the balcony and a great view!
Mr Choi (Jessica's father) was very kind and hospitable. Truly appreciate what he has done for us! :)
Jessica is great. great hospitality. good apt and a good area. they make you feel comfortable. good vibe! thanks for everything.
Jessica was pleasant and hospitable. The neighborhood is great, although finding parking can be tough. She didn't have any sheets for the couch, but it was still pretty comfortable. It was a good value for the price.
The place was great, I felt comfortable and safe.
It was a pleasure staying with Jessica. She exhibits kindness and grace and a spirit of camaraderie on first meeting. Thus, I felt at ease straightaway. Would stay again when my travels take me to NoHo. (Great neighborhood, by the way -- and a stone's throw to the Red Line)
The place was as advertised--which was a good thing. The bed was comfortable and the size of the room was comparable to size of an average motel room. Plus, I received a private bath. You get free wifi and a rather large television screen. It was a low key place for a low key trip. I recommend it.
The Pictures looks very nice as its an attractive block however, i did not have a pleasant stay and could not wait to leave.
Upon arrival the bed was not made and the bathroom had hair all over, the host said she had a guest who left early in the morning before and did not have time to clean, i arrived around 10-11pm at night, giving the host plenty of time to clean before i arrived. I did not feel that this was right as if you were expecting guests to arrive, you should make the effort to clean as soon as one guest leaves. I felt so uncomfortable as bathroom was dirty and room had not been cleaned.
Secondly, The block of apartments had indoor parking within the apartment block, this is not secure as i found out the next day after i arrived, my brand new rental car was broken into and my $300 gps was stolen, the gps was in the glove compartment and no one could have know it was in there so very surprised that this happened. Bear in mind visitors park on the top floor. The gate is opened downstairs and there is security guards patrolling the car park and this robery took place anyway.
Thirdly, there was no tv in the room as the tv receiver was moved into her living room and you could only watch dvds which obviously as a guest you might not have an no dvds were placed in the room to give you that option either, so no tv for the duration of my 8 day stay
Fourthly i came to la to perform and this meant late nights and needed to sleep in late, the walls are so thin the apartment above played really loud music playing and it felt like it was in in my bedroom i mean its was very very loud so i could not get enough rest. It might not bother if you plan to be out all day but the music started so early in the morning it was ridiculous
Fifthly, the host had rented out the living room, which was fine as its her apartment and she could do this however it would have been nice if she had informed the other guest as the apartment is really small and would have been great to know in advance.
On one occasion i just came back from a performance and not sure if the host had left her keys and she kept ringing the door bell repeatedly in the morning and i had a bad headache all day as I just got to sleep and as a result and i could not get back to sleep, naturally this affected my performance that evening.
On another occasion the worst piercing sound you can possible imagine came from the apartment, no forewarning and it took a while for it to stop and again there was no mention of this by the host.
On the plus side the location is very central but i will never stay in the block again even if i was offered without a charge, worse experience for me sadly!
Jessica and I share a lot in common: we're both busy constantly 'on the go' type people so we totally understand each other - even though we hardly saw each other! The location was graet for my needs, close to cafe's, shops, the post office and banks and easy to get to from H'Wood or downtown. For those without a car it's opposite a major bus hub.
Accommodation wise I did the couch-surf - suited my needs for my short stay and I basically ended up with my own bathroom for the time I was there. The apartment is relatively new, had a good kitchen, an internal laundry, and spacious bathroom with shower/tub and was nicely heated against the LA winter, so no problems there, but given Jessica's busy schedule, a once-over by a house cleaner would have been a nice touch :).
Being close to the Arts College, the complex tends to attract a younger college-age crowd so there can be that kind of party activity on some nights although I had no trouble getting to sleep.
If you're looking for a place in the middle of NoHo and are younger of spirit, Jessica's pad should be on your shortlist!
Jessica is very sweet, the unit is spacious, the laundry and gym were SUPER convenient!
