We had a fantastic time at Villa Bahati. The location is incredible and the house is lovely, cool and well cared for. Couldn't have wanted for more back in Jambiani after 22 years! The breakfasts and lunches were great, we made contact with Hassan in the village who brought dinner in the evenings, enjoyed laid back reggae bar down the beach, and did some great snorkelling in the lagoon. Wonderful

We had a great stay at Villa Bahati, and would highly recommend it to anyone considering traveling to Zanzibar.
The villa is on Jambiani, a quieter part of the island with beautiful beaches, so ideal if you want a little more privacy or to get away from more touristy areas. The village has a few shops and nice restaurants which offer enough variety, but don't expect fully-stocked supermarkets or a full range of eateries.
The villa is well-equipped with all the essentials (be aware that wifi is not anywhere nearby), and rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. Breakfast is simple (fruit, bread, pastry + boiled egg / omelet) and freshly prepared at a time of your choosing. The view is absolutely wonderful :)
The hosts were flexible (e.g. we were able to leave luggage until after check-out time) and very helpful (e.g. organizing a driver to take us to Jozani national park for the day). This also characterizes the overall experience: keep in mind that this is a family run B&B, so don't expect 5-star hotel routine but rather warm hospitality and service with a personal touch. Overall a very enjoyable stay and fantastic experience in Zanzibar!
