Glass House Winery is an unexpected delight in the middle of the rolling hills of Charlottesville. The winery itself is unique with the indoor tropical plants and excellent tasting space, but the bed and breakfast is no less interesting. There are hand-carved animals and an enviable kitchen when you first walk in. There is a beautiful pool (though it was too cold to use when we were there), and a huge, welcoming livingroom where our gracious hostess spent lots of time getting ot know us and attending to our every need. The upstairs apartment is ideal for a family or girls weekend, and the view can't be beat. Breakfast was delicious and thoughtful, and filled us up for the rest of the day. The outdoor deck was the place we spent the most time listening to crickets and the distant sound of the live band from the winery. The homemade chocolates left on our bed were a nice touch as were the exceptional toiletries - the sign of details being attended to. Would highly recommend!
