I love to travel and meet new people. Airbnb is a great way to meet people from all around the world.
Tek was a great host. Friendly, soft spoken, and easy to get along with. The house is in a fairly populated area so there shouldn't be any problems finding stores. The house itself is old, but Tek keeps it very clean and well kept. I told him I was a medical student so within the week or so, he bought a small reading desk for my room. Overall, my stay there was very pleasant and a good first experience with AirBNB.
I have been 3 months living in Tek´s place. The place is wide, quiet and your private space is highly respected, The house has all the facilities you may need for a short or long stay (kitchen, fridge, laundry machine, drying machine, internet, private bathroom) and all of them work perfectly. It is less than 5 minutes away walking from Bayview hospital in a very secure and homely neighborhood, moreover you can find plenty of restaurants and shops in the surroundings, a fast bus that you can take at the end of the street reaches the centre of Baltimore, and if you work in Hopkins you have a shuttle service every 30 minutes between Bayview and the Johns Hopkins hospital.
But the best thing of this place is the owner, Tek is one of the most friendly and respectful persons I have ever met, I am glad to consider him a friend and I hope to be able to pay him his hospitality back someday if he visits Spain.
Great host who made me feel welcome the moment I arrived. We sat down to tea and coffee and had some great conversation. The room is comfortable and the bathroom is right next door. The room is especially convenient if you have any reason to be at Hopkins Bayview. I would definitely come back!
I recently stayed at Tek's house with a few friends while we were attending a conference in Baltimore (we rented the whole house). Our stay was great! Tek wasn't staying in the residence with us, but was frequently in contact to ask how things were and if we needed anything from him. He accommodated all of our requests. The house was very clean, spacious, and comfortable and we had access to WiFi, laundry facilities, and the kitchen. There are a number of bus stops within close walking distance (no more than 5 minutes away) if you plan on using public transit as we did (30 mins by bus to the Inner Harbour Area). The area felt quite safe as well. Our only complaint is that we didn't have the chance to get to know Tek better! We all agree that we would certainly consider staying here again if we return to Baltimore.
Tek was extremely accommodating given my "nightshift" schedule at the hospital and met me for an early check in and check out. his place looks recently renovated with new appliances and fixtures; everything was exceptionally clean. i felt very safe. it was quiet, even during the day, which is a rarity for certain neighborhoods in baltimore, but allowed me to sleep before my shift at the hospital. i felt extremely safe and the bed was very comfortable. i am from the south, so the weather was an adjustment outdoors due to the time of year, but the house climate was very nice - not too hot or cold. i could walk to bayview and a couple of great little dive bars/lunch spots and feel safe. would definitely stay again!
Tek's place is very nice and clean. I was the first person to stay there and everything was pretty new and fixed up. Tek was very nice and made sure he got the keys to me and had the basic necessities already there before I arrived. The living room is very spacious and home-y as is the kitchen. The room was great, had all i needed: bed, desk, closet. The place was about 6 miles from the downtown / inner harbor area so it's a plus. I went to Baltimore for some work, and this place had all I needed as I said and the price is a great plus as well. Definitely recommend Tek's place.
I stayed here for a month while doing a medical student rotation at Sinai Hospital. The room was very comfortable, and private. I was really there only to sleep. Tek is very nice and accommodating. He knew I would be doing some studying/work so he brought down a desk and chair for me to use. He is very sweet and even offered me dinner a few nights. Overall good experience.
Tek provided a clean, comfortable place to stay at a great price. His house is quite close to most of the major attractions in the city, especially the Inner Harbor area.
I don't think our schedules matched up since we didn't see much of Tek. The short time we did meet, though, he was friendly and accommodating. He offered us full use of the kitchen though my husband and I had brought snacks and went to restaurants during our stay.
Privacy, noise, parking, and safety were not a problem at all. The only caveat for me is the hand-held shower. It took quite a lot of getting used to, but it was wonderful to have a private room and bath.
My husband and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I had a good time at the apartment. Used to bus to go downtown Baltimore several times and it was never a problem. Tek was very helpful when I needed information about buses to different places like New York and D.C.
Unsafe and uncleaned room an house. Unsafe neighborhood. Everything different of what the host posted on his page. I could not stay there for a day. The host does not wanted to give part of my money back even he had cancelled my reservation after that. I gotta really disappointed. I do not recommend it.
Tek is a good friend of mine, very resourceful and caring person. I recommend his place. Good luck.
Tek is a great friend, we actually met while working in the same office and have developed a wonderful friendship over the last 2 years. He is honest and kind and is always available to help his friends! I would recommend renting from Tek. Cheers! Michelle
He is a great friend, good cook, welcoming and generous host. He treats all his friends like his family.
