A little about myself: I'm a law librarian, living in Atlanta, Georgia. I'm a big fan of the novels of Jane Austen and enjoy period adaptations along with good serial shows like Mad Men and The Wire. I'm a foodie in that I really enjoy good food and love to sample different cuisines. I also watch cooking shows like Jamie Oliver but still have a lot to learn about home cooking. When I travel I like to sample local fare, find cool bookstores and vintage shops, and just generally walk around and soak in the local scene.
Music - I'm seriously into Crowded House, one of the best pop bands ever!
I'm a casual traveler, mainly to other cities - some of my favorite places are New York, New Orleans, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Portland, Savannah and Charleston. I'm also a fan of leisurely beach trips. I have been to London and Paris in the past and hope to do more international travel someday. Like one day I'd love to go to New Zealand.
As a guest: I'm responsible and conscientious, neat and quiet. Non-smoker. I am a private person and accordingly respect other people's privacy and space. When I visit friends and family, I try to be as independent and as unobtrusive as possible and try to be a guest worth having (and having back!). Also, when I am traveling, I am more likely to be out and about than staying in, because I want to make the most of my trip. I very much appreciate anyone opening up their home to me, and promise to leave it in just as good condition as the day I arrive.
