Hi I'm Kevin, we worked really hard on this project involving three buildings for about 4yrs. We hope you like the properties - all of the units are very nicely appointed and fully equipped for extended stays or quick getaways. Happy travels, KB

This was the perfect location to stay while exploring the historic district in Savannah. This place is located right next to Forsythe Park, great for early-morning walks and getting a great cup of coffee at the Sentient Bean.
This place is only a 15 to 20 minute walk to great bars and restaurants in the historic district. Additionally one of the bus tour stops is just a five-minute walk away. This is great for jetting around town and getting an idea of where you want to go visit.
We stayed in the middle loft which was absolutely wonderful. We had lots of space to spread out. As well, the loft has a fridge, dishwasher, and stove for when we wanted to cook. There's also laundry in the place in case you need to do a quick load of laundry. There's Wi-Fi in the place is well which was great. There is also a little courtyard on the property, which we used to sit and relax and drink our morning coffee.
The owners are super friendly and full of recommendations of where to go for coffee, breakfast or local cuisine.
Sanctuary Place is a very attractive ensemble of buildings around a small courtyard with a fountain. There are four units arranged in three buildings - including the very stylish loft the owners carved out of a church. We stayed in the Victorian house, which became the presbytery but started out as the house of a local doctor. Spacious double reception room with lots of original features; good kitchen and downstairs bathroom. Two elegant double bedrooms upstairs with a single room and a shower room - both floors with high ceilings. This is the perfect location - a few minutes from Forsyth Park and within easy distance of the historic district. Two very, very good eateries nearby - one virtually on the doorstop (Local ten11) and one a few blocks away (The Florence) - both worth booking and going specially as they are amongst the best tables in the city...). We really enjoyed our time in Savannah and staying in Sanctuary Place, a stylish place with bags of atmosphere.
We stayed in the Front Loft with my parents as part of an extended Easter weekend holiday. No matter how gorgeous the pictures look online they really don't compare to actually being inside. (We were also able to have a brief chat with the current residents of the Middle Loft and poke around in there as well - equally gorgeous!) The location was great -about a 5 minute walk to Forsyth Park and about a leisurely ~1hr stroll all the way to the riverfront. A small locally owned grocery is a few blocks away and if they don't have what you need, you can also walk or drive to a nearby Krogers as well. If you're looking for somewhere nearby to eat, The Sandfly BBQ has recently opened up a location about a block away in the beautiful 1930s Streamliner diner. There was plenty of parking streetside nearby (watch for streetcleaning signs) so we were able to mostly park and keep our cars untouched for most of the weekend. Kevin was always available via phone and was usually nearby if we needed anything. Thank you so much - we had a blast!
Unfortunately we were unable to make it. We had a last minute family emergency. Kevin was super cool about it and we'll book with him when we head back to Savannah.
The Cottage at Sanctuary Place was an awesome place to stay, even better than expected. Kevin was an excellent host, very friendly and available. He even showed us the other properties on site and they look great. The little courtyard and fountain is a nice little private hideaway from the street. As for the area, it is a short walk to a great cafe (Sentient Bean) for morning tea, and adjacent to the organic market/grocery. Saturday morning there was a great farmers market in the nearby park. Parking was easy near the cottage, not always so easy in the rest of the city - make sure you have change for meters. We did walk a couple times into the city, which is about a 20 minute walk to just about everything the city has to offer. Great place, great city, great host!
Kevin was prompt to respond and had everything ready as discussed. He even had a lovely pack n play ready for our baby boy. The house was wonderful and close proximity. Would go again for sure! Thanks
The sanctuary was just that! The space being open and airy really inspired us while we spent the week working in Savannah.
Kevin was an excellent host! I first contacted him on a separate property, but when it was booked just shortly before I could do so, he was very accommodating and worked with me on arranging this other property. The Victorian property was lovely with a perfect vintage/historic feel that fit in well with the neighborhood. The dates we were there was ample street parking, the neighborhood was very walkable with access to nearby Forsyth Park, and was within walking distance of the historic distric. The house was very well situated, with the amenities we needed during our stay. Kevin also offered some suggestions on places to eat nearby as well as local grocery stores which we appreciated. Kevin was quick to respond to the few questions I had during our stay. If we are in Savannah again we will definitely look to stay here again!
The the unit was absolutely adorable in a perfect location, right in the heart of Savannah. It was spacious, clean and had everything we needed. It was a $6 cab ride to the Savannah City Market, where we spent NYE and only 3 blocks from the park that we enjoyed running around and had breakfast at the cute cafe. The owners left 2 keys for us and a map of the city, which made it so welcoming! This was our first AirBnB experience and was such a pleasure. Thank you so much!
The Middle Loft at Sanctuary Place is a very special property. It is not often that one has the opportunity to stay in a beautifully renovated church with gorgeous stained glass, soaring ceilings and stunning carved wood details. This lovely condo provides all of that and tops it off with a modern, detailed renovation. The updates are chuck full of beautiful craftsmanship created by John, one of our wonderful hosts. We delighted in seeing all the clever details he included to make this a very special place to stay. The condo is is very convenient to everything you want to see and do in Savannah. As hosts, Kevin and John were very accommodating and were amazingly prompt in fulfilling our requests. If you want to break away from the vacation tradition of staying in a bland, standard hotel room, THIS is the place for you!!
