ACOMODATING EASY GOING
Very accommodating provides transportation and offered breakfast
Jimmy was a great and exceptional host. He offered to pick me up from the airport and he was very accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying with him if looking for a place close to the airport.
Jimmy was incredibly welcoming. His hospitality was A+. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at his place - I would definitely stay there again!
Since Jimmy is working on a house in the DR, I can understand that he hasn't the time nor money to make his place in Charlotte as nice as it could be. As it was, the hot tub did not work and the place begged for a little renovation. Still, Jimmy was a fabulous host. For example, he thought ahead to have a bowl of fresh fruit waiting for me in the room. Jimmy also made time to chat a little when I arrived and helped me out in the morning. He even went out and bought a blanket after I asked for one.
HELLO! AIRbnb travelers.
I was in Charlotte (NC) for a couple of days and I had a good time. Mr Guzman' place was nice a afew minutes away from downtown by public transportation. I hope I'll have chance to do it again.
Victor and Coro
Jimmy is a fun and kind host who could' do enough to accommodate us. It was nice to sit in the hot tub in the evening with a glass of wine. Jimmy is still stting up for guests but the room is comfortable and has a good large TV in the room with a small en suite. The houseis a bit of a bchelor pad but his dog is friendly and the house is cool and quiet.
Jimmy is a nice guy. He was helpful and thoughtful when the hottub pictured in the ad did not work. He apologized and offered us the use of his personal hottub, which was located on his back deck. Jimmy was friendly and provided us with clean towels, a few beers in the refrigerator, great carribbean sounds coming from his cd system and a plate of barbeque ribs that he had made for his family earlier that day! Additionally the rental was conveniently located close to I85 and downtown, which is what we were looking for because we were in town only for one night for a music concert. The place was close to the Time Warner Center, our venue and our reason for our visit to Charolette. Lastly the price was within our budget, compared to hotels downtown we saved 75% in costs. On the down side, the parking situation is a bit involved. Jimmy has a security gate that requires the guest to manually slide a heavy gate open and shut when entering and exiting the property, additionally guest parking in around the side of the house in the grass. The entrance to the property is a set of wooden steps. Inside the rental there is ceramic tile flooring but the ceiling is unfinished and exposed insulation. The actual door leading to the outside is a commercial door that has been tented. There are 2 couches and a gas range and sink and refrigerator all in the enclosed hottub area. There is a sliding glass door that seperates this enclosed patio/porch from a bedroom with hardwood floors a huge tv and a very small bathroom with sink, shower and toilet. Jimmy's area of the house is seperated by a deadbolt and self locking door knob. The bed was adequate and the sheets were clean but by no means new. In terms of bedding we definitely could have used a blanket as we were cold even after we turned off the ceiling fan. Jimmy has a dog that kinda follows you around, which was no problem for us, but the dog could definitely use a bath. But we like animals so it was okay for us that he kinda slept outside our rental door and walked around the back deck. He didn't bark and he allowed us to pet him. So over all, the stay was adequate, I don't think I would stay with Jimmy again, but it was definitely an adventure and also my first experience with airbnb, I think in the future, I'll spend a little more money, but I like the airbnb concept and will definitely try it again.
