Hello potential guest !
Due to a couple negative experiences, I no longer accept guests who do not have a completed profile. AirBnB has many trust-building tools that help us all feel comfortable in who we invite to our places (as hosts) and who we're staying with (as guests). If you do not have a description, some verified ID, and at least one reference (if you are a new user), please enquire elsewhere. There are plenty of places to choose from in Montreal!
I am a traveller and I know what it is like to need a comfortable place to be when away from home. I have been using AirBnB since 2010 and have stayed in people's homes using AirBnB in five different countries.
The listing "rustic canadiana in urban milieu" has been my home since 2006. Life takes me to other places for certain periods of time and to help pay for the rent, I let it out. I have wonderful friends and neighbours who become my go-tos when I am away. The listing "cute, bright, on two floors" is my neighbour's apartment. While she is away, I rent it out to pay for the rent. It's also a kind of guest house for friends, family, and other visitors. I remain accessible by phone and e-mail just the same.
Please take care to read the reviews and references for unbiased takes on my space.
As a long-time traveller and as an AirBnB host, I have a great deal of respect for other people's spaces, as I like for others to have for my own home. I don't need much when I stay elsewhere and I'm pretty resourceful. That being said, I like meeting people and it's a pleasure to be able to have a face connection with the place I stay in.
