Glad to hear that you and your group (4-6) enjoyed your time in SJDS. Being in the center of town offers ease of proximity to all, but it's also a densely populated pueblo in a developing country. With that comes some noise at times. The neighbor's female dog recently had pups, so they have been temporarily tieing the male dog to keep him at a distance. Sorry if this was an inconvenience. Surprises here are never ending: just saw a guy walking two goats down the street yesterday!
BBQ - Is a free-standing Char-Broil propane fueled bbq with a side-burner for stove-top cooking. Push-button ignition. Idea is to have the bulk of cooking heat easily disburse outside on the covered patio rather than captured inside of the house. Besides the BBQ, there is also a microwave and toaster oven as well.
Electricity is much more expensive in Nica than more developed countries. With two air conditioning units I need to offer incentive for reasonable use. This charge is fully disclosed in the ad along with the stated average of $1-3/night. Your average nightly cost was $2.20; quite decent for having 4-6 occupants during your stay.
The house is fully furnished and equipped. It is the responibility of the renter for any damage or missing items. Sorry for the $7 charge for the missing glass and broken toilet handle in the covered garden bathroom (other bathroom is indoors). Both items will truthfully cost more than that to replace; shared responsibility on both sides is very reasonable.
Mitch glad you guys had a great time! Apologize about the neighbor issue. They've been working on adding-on to their house this month so it's been less than ideal for them living inside a construction zone. I'm sure all will return back to "Nica-normal" soon. Thanks again for your stay!
