It was such a great experience to stay at Lauren's and her roommate Chantal's apartment in Brooklyn! They have a lovely apartment, and the room is beautiful and spacious, with a really comfortable bed! I stayed with them for six weeks in October and November, and they made me feel very welcome and at home. For example, they made me a birthday cake on my birthday, a delicious cocktail for Halloween, and invited me to join them for dinner with their friends - which I very much appreciated. It is a good and quiet location, just about 10-15 minutes walk to the subway stop Franklin Ave, and it takes approximately 15 minutes to get into Manhattan. Also, Franklin Ave is a nice street with lots of fun shops, bars and restaurants. There are, for instance, great places for coffee, muffins, fresh organic juices, the most delicious taco's ever, pizza, and much more! So it is a fun up-and-coming neighborhood, and I definitely recommend Lauren's apartment!
Lauren is accommodating and friendly host. The room is clean and comfortable. I enjoyed stay in Brooklyn.
NYC was just suppose to be a one month visit, instead it turned into a whole summer vacation. All thanks to lauren I stayed with in Brooklyn! She was very welcoming, accommodating, and just a easy to be around! A friend for life indeed and someone I will contact first when I come back to NYC! She also allowed for me to bring my dog, which fell in Love with her as well. I recommend staying in this area, it's safe & quiet, but on the same note, there is lots to do. From a park visit to museums to food market to hip n trendy bars. A great introduction to the city, a home away from home !!!

This was my first airbnb experience and I was very please with my choice to stay with Lauren. She was more than helpful with making my stay easy and very comfortable. Lauren and Brit were like great roommates that made me feel like I lived there with all the freedom of a resident. Very simple house rules, all basic common sence stuff that I would normally abide by anyway. And the bed- it was so comfortable, I was asleep in 2 minutes. Everything is very clean and fresh, good sheets, towels, pillows, etc. They leave little baskets of candy and things in places that brings a good feeling of a welcome decore. It's surprisingly quiet at night for Brooklyn and I slept well. The noise levels start to rise about 7 am, but that's a New York thing no matter what area you're in. It's a very safe neighborhood close to grocery stores, bars, laundromats and places to eat. There are 3 subway lines (red 2,3, green 4,5 and blue A,C,) to Manhattan and subway access is about a 15 minute walk. I was averaging 25 minute rides to or from Manhattan during the day and about an hour after midnight (subways run less frequently at night). The apartment building itself is a little older, 2 floor walk up and is typical for what you find most anywhere in NYC. The shower has good hot water and water pressure. I never saw or heard anyone else in the building and hardly ever saw Lauren or Brit as they are either gone a lot or are really quiet and you don't know they are even there. I didn't have many requests, but Lauren was happy to help me with whatever I asked for such as a late checkout. She also went out of her way to help find me a car service to the airport when I was running late. It was really easy to communicate with her and she responds quickly when texted or messaged. All in all I had a great stay with no complaints! I'm very thankful that Lauren was such a good host and good person in general. It eased my concerns as a newcomer to this service and I would gladly stay with Lauren again if she would be happy to have me stay again.
The stay was really good !
Lauren and her roommate are great !
Thank you for the arrangements you did for us.
I highly recommend this rent !
Lauren was an awesome host! She welcomed us and showed us around the room and her apartment even though our flight was delayed and we showed up a couple hours later than we planned. She gave us 2 sets of keys which is always helpful when traveling with a group. I met her roommate Brittany for a quick second and she was very nice.
Would most definitively stay at Lauren and Brittany's place again
Lauren and her roommate Brittany were great hosts. They welcomed us the first day and showed us around. They were always available in case we had any concern. The apartment was very clean and neat and very stylish. They're young friendly people, very fun to deal with.
We went to a 4 day family trip to NY from Montreal and the location was very good. Well located, 10 min walk to the metro, nice neighborhood.
Lauren was away, but Brittany, her roommate showed us the place and directions to visit the city.
We used the kitchen to breakfast, and we were alone most of the time.
On the down side, it can be noisy sometimes during the night.
But I guess lots of Brooklyn apartments are like that.
We loved the experience.
Hope to met Lauren next trip.
Lauren's place was just what we were looking for. We were a group of five college students travelling from Pittsburgh to Brooklyn for spring break, and we had everything we needed at this apartment. Between beds and pull-out couches we had more than enough comfortable places to sleep, and the apartment is beautiful. The hosts were the perfect balance of accommodating and friendly while still being cool with us waking up early and coming home late while exploring the city. I would definitely stay at Lauren's again!
Lauren was a great guest. She came with her friends from the UK, all very enthusiastic girls and kept me in touch with the time of her arrival and departure. Everything was very clear. She even left me a souvenir from the US. A perfect host that I would welcome here again whenever she wants. J
Lauren and her two friends were excellent guests - very quiet, clean, and respectful of the place. Just what you'd expect from a fellow airbnb hostess! Wouldn't hesitate to host them again!
I've known Lauren for what feels like ages now. She is one of the best peoples I know and I don't know what I would do without her around. She's dependable and kind and exactly the type of person that a traveler would want to hang out with. Book her apartment right now, you won't regret it. (oh yeah, Sammy the cat is a pretty cool dude, too)
