My wife and I live in San Francisco. I work in the wine industry and she works for the environmental protection agency. We enjoy good food, interesting people, hiking, art house movies, museums, college football, the New Yorker, . . .

Everything was great. A very nice place with wonderful views. Nicely decorated. Really enjoyed staying here and felt very welcome. Jesse and Elizabeth were very available with answers to questions and with assistance. Thanks so much!
Absolutely beautiful and perfect! Jesse was so responsive - thank you!
My little oasis, as I called it, was the perfect home/getaway, while I worked in San Francisco for the month. The place was warm, comfortable, and a joy to be in. Jesse was the perfect host: trusting and always available if I ever needed him, which was rare. Perfect walk to the Castro, and convenient to the muni and bart....didn't need to do cardio, because of the walk back up the hill, but it was just enough to enjoy paradise away from the hectic world below. I will definitely call upon them again. I saw other colleagues homes for the month, and I think I got the best deal and the best set up. Cable TV, a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, charming bathtub/shower, laundry...it was perfect!
The listing description was very accurate, and the location was very quiet and pleasant. The guide and addresses for local cafes was really helpful for our first days in San Francisco.
Jesse was very welcoming and everything flowed nicely. The living room is great and the light and the outlook from there is quite inviting. The quality of the furniture and kitchen utensils are fine and complete. The other reviewers in their praises are quite right - it is a great place to stay - and yet the bathroom situation limits how long I would ever stay here. Anything over a week would be a stretch - and the occupants need to be quite comfortable with one another. The toilet is only a few feet away when you are laying in bed and even though it is in its own little closet-room (with a great fan thankfully) - it is still a awkward. The sink and tub are in the bedroom too and the necessary ventilation requires that great big fan - very useful. Also, if the people upstairs put their street shoes on, you can hear it very easily, as we did at 3:30 am as our neighbor was headed out for what must have been a early flight! We were pleased that he went away and he was not there very much at all. Finally, the kitchen is not really for cooking big meals. Fine for breakfast and lunch.
Host was fantastic. My mother had a health problem that prevented her from staying in the apartment and Jesse was extremely gracious about refunding us the cost and generally being really kind about it.
Jesse was a great host, and we thoroughly enjoyed staying at his place. The location was perfect, quiet and convenient, with plenty of street parking available. The apartment is tastefully appointed and homey, with a very comfortable bed. We'll definitely stay here again!
Jesse made us feel really welcome. He met us shortly after we arrived and gave us some information about a great local restaurant and highlights of The Castro, as well as directions to Wholefoods. The apartment is in a great location for exploring San Francisco and we were able to do so on foot and using the great public transport system (Muni). It was an easy process to access the apartment and everything was there for us to be comfortable. The photos for the listing are accurate. There were some really nice touches like extensive maps to guide us and Jesse's recommendations for dining, bars, and directions to nearest grocery stores. There were some treats in the fridge for us and we were very surprised and grateful for those. A really lovely experience.
The apartment is located in a very centralized area in the Castro neighborhood. It was less than a 10min walk downhill to Castro St. & Market St. (one of the main streets which runs down all the way to the Embarcadero area). There are lots of restaurants, bars, shops, etc nearby.
Although we only briefly met Jesse (due to our plans while in SF) the night we were leaving, both he & his wife Elizabeth were great in replying to our texts. Jesse left us several suggestions about places nearby & categorized them into brunch, lunch, dinner as well as by neighborhoods.
It is at the top of a hill but hey, it IS San Francisco :) so walking up one more hill won't hurt :) It's in a very safe and peaceful place. It was a cozy, comfortable, clean apartment with everything we needed. It felt like a "home away from home". We would definitely recommend it!
Wonderful place. Renovated and modern with old-school charm. Note: it's a hike up the hill from Castro. Cabs, Uber, and the Muni 37 bus can relieve you if you don't want to walk.
So quiet at night. It's like you're in the country. Also, there's a gorgeous Bougainvillea tree in front of the house. Makes it easy to identify the place. You can even see it gazing at the city from the top of Buena Vista Park (right around the corner.)
I was honored to have Elizabeth and his husband as a guests in my house. They was the ideal guests that every landlord would like to have: respectful, clean, polite and very generous. I hope to have they again soon. They left the apartment in the same shape they received. They have been perfect guests! Many thanks. Fiammetta Maria
