Words won't be enough to describe the great experience we had staying at Cathy and Tim's place. In fact, we were not so sure about recommending their home because we want it to be all ours!
The home is not only much more beautiful than it looks in the pictures; it's also bigger, brighter, with a lovely backyard, an amazing kitchen and adorable details that made our stay the best we've had abroad in the last years.
We were a couple plus my brother and, as Cathy told us, the place perfectly fits three people. We stayed there for two full weeks and it really felt like being at home. The house was spotless clean, we didn't have a single inconvenience or misunderstanding getting there and receiving the keys -even though our flight arrived very late-, they let us use their washing machine and clothes dryer (which was very helpful due to the length of our stay), the bed and sofas are absolutely comfortable... 100% pleasant!
It's just two blocks from the F line, and we were in Manhattan in less than half an hour. The neighborhood is quiet, safe, very close to beautiful Prospect Park, and there are very good places around to eat or buy dinner.
Both Cathy and his husband Tim were very generous with their place and stuff and we really appreciated it since they made us feel very relaxed. There's no doubt we will stay there again when we come back to Brooklyn/NY.
We are always very demanding when we rent places for our vacations, and this time we were totally satisfied. We don't have any complaints, and that is the best that can happen on holidays! We fully recommend this place!
Cathy was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. The house is immaculate and lovely; cool mid-century furnishings, a very comfortable bed in the front bedroom, large well-stocked kitchen and nice bath with tub. The grounds are nothing short of spectacular with many lovely places to read or meditate or just view the abundant wildlife, beautiful views, and the house is set back off the road so it feels very private. The location just up the road from Omega is perfect if you're taking a workshop there. I wholeheartedly recommend Cathy's house!
This house was a wonderful sanctuary, and Cathy was a marvelous host. I enjoyed the peace and quiet of the lovely land surrounding the house, and Cathy offered me vegetables from her onsite organic garden. I would rent this house again in a heartbeat, Cathy made me feel like a member of the family.
This was the perfect country getaway house. A few friends and I escaped New York City for night for some much needed R&R. Cathy was the most accessible and helpful host giving us pointers for how to make the most out of our stay. The decor is tasteful and quirky mid-century modern, we really loved it and would return to this gem any time!
Cathy was a lovely host. Met me at the house and showed me around. The property is gorgeous and the house is very sweet. Coming up the drive for the first time, I encountered 5 wild turkeys. What a treat! There had been a lot of rain, but with all the porches and overhangs, you could still leave the windows open day and night, if you wanted. It was a thoroughly enjoyable visit and I will check into staying there again if I take another class at Omega. Thanks Cathy!
The reservation was canceled 34 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Cathy and her husband have been wonderful guest. They are friendly, warm and respectful people and communication was smooth and rapid. The house was left in spotless state and I recommand them to all airbnb guests.
Cathy's a great guest. Perfect. Easy to communicate with, straighforward, and left the apartment not only immaculate, but with a copy of Time Out London 2014 on the table and the sheets in washing machine. Recommended. Thanks Cathy!
Cathy was a great guest!!
Cathy and her husband were great guests. Very genuine and congenial. And, perhaps one of the most accommodating couples we've ever hosted... they endured a plumbing problem without panache! Highly recommended guests!!!
There was a great collaboration, has been a pleasure to have Cathy in my house, for sure!
It was a lovely visit with "strangers" that quickly felt like old friends. Their dog Lefty was a fun companion, we all spent a few hours just getting caught up with each other and talking about the coming of "Irene", NYC, heart friendly food and contemporary art. Oh and Cathy's food blog, I have found another great sight to check back into on a regular basis. Come back soon!
Cathy was a communicative and pleasant guest. Would rent to again in the future.
