My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Secluded Villa Apartment during our recent visit to Ho Chi Minh City. I cannot say enough about the friendliness and hospitality of the staff, led my Mr. Ming. We both will truly miss them. The breakfast was outstanding every morning and the one night we had dinner there was an excellent meal as well with the menu offering many wonderful selections. My only disappointment was in the room. Although adequate it could benefit from some remodeling. All in all we had a very pleasant and memorable stay.
Great food and a comfortable bed in a beautiful french style house/restaurant. Joseph was extremely helpful and even lent my wife a hat and sunglasses for our first day of adventuring. Highly recommended.
We had a great time in our room at the Cafe If. If you want perfect accommodations, you may not prefer this room, but for us is was lovely. The room is air-conditioned and the bathroom is within the room space. The bathroom is a bit old-fashioned with a few tiles missing, but the water is immediately hot and the bathtub is generously sized. The king-sized bed is the best we have slept on in our three-week excursion. Joseph, Ming, and the restaurant staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Ming booked two private tour days for us and sent along a wonderful young woman as interpreter and guide. The cafe is located fairly close to the old city--District 1. We were able to walk to many of the sites from the cafe and since taxis are very inexpensive, if we strayed too far, we could always take a taxi home. The food at the cafe was wonderful and we decided to take our evening meals there each night rather than travel too far out at night. We had a wonderful experience.
My friend and I stayed at the Villa for about 5 nights and we were VERY happy with our experience. The Villa is very secluded behind a gate, beautiful trees and plants. The staff always made sure that my friend and I were comfortable and had everything that we needed. Joseph even gave us recommendations for places to visit and local places to get coffee during the day. The entire staff was VERY kind and helpful and the food at their restaurant is WONDERFUL... we had breakfast there every morning and a couple other meals... we were very pleased with the experience there. If you want water for your room daily or need other things to be replenished, make sure to tell a member of the staff there, otherwise, it may go unnoticed. However, that was a very small, minor thing I noticed. Overall, I'd stay there again and I highly recommend this Villa for other travelers!!
Great quiet location that can be needed in the chaos of HCMC. Staff are very friendly and eager to help. Bonus is that the food from the cafe is delicious as well.
Couldn't have been happier with this peaceful oasis. Ming was thoughtful and really went out of his way to accommodate me on my stay... even over the holiday (TET)! The garden is really lovely. the apartment is huge and full of character. Just delightful!!
Mr. Ming-Wei and his staff, not to forget his wonderful and very polite little son welcomed and treated me like family. When they discovered it was my birthday they offered me a meal in the restaurant in the beautifully maintained and decorated villa and when I said I had already eaten they gave me a bottle of wine and a plate of fresh fruit. I hope to see them all again next time I am in Saigon.
This apartment is an absolute oasis of calm and quiet amidst the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, and we loved staying here for three nights! The apartment itself is big, clean and beautiful. Great location on a quiet side street only a few minutes walk from the Jade Emperor Pagoda, Reunification Palace, Post Office and other major sights. The restaurant in front of the apartment, Cafe If, has fantastic food. We loved having breakfast there (included) each morning, and chose to have dinner there one night as well. But the best part of staying here is undoubtedly the people. Ming gave us great advice on where to go and what to see, arranged day trips for us to the Mekong Delta and Cu Chi Tunnels, and even allowed for Tuyen, one of the cafe staff who is studying English at University, to join us on our trips and help us along, which made our experiences so much more interesting and informative. We loved getting to know Tuyen, and consider her and Ming wonderful new friends. In short, this perhaps the single best airbnb experience we've had so far, and we can't recommend it strongly enough.
Great place at the back of Café If, with a nice garden you will enjoy to rest from hectic Saigon. Lovely and peaceful district. Breakfast is delicious. The staff there is helpful and discreet. An unusual and lovely place to stay.
My stay with this quiet and friendly hideaway was an unexpected and pleasant vacation at its most. From the start Joseph answeered any questions I had, and when I finally arrived late at night, Ming was right there to assist me . The room was clean and had a nice view, and was so glad I was not stayong in a hotel, pluss the excellent food in the Cafe If that joined the courtyard. If you read this review Ming, thaks for your help and friendship, from Richard and Kim.
