Six of us went to the cottage and it was great! It had all the necessities you could imagine. The shared fire pit provided a communal experience the other cottage guests. The BBQ machine was great. Leah and her staff were always reachable and were quick to respond. I'm definitely going again!
I loved the area that this cottage was in. Very close to the beach.
The cottage was cozy and comfortable but, the beds squeaked a lot and the mattress wasn't all that great.
There was group of six of us staying in this cottage. Four adults and two kids. Leah was perfect host. She answered quickly to all questions we had. Description of the house is pretty accurate. We found there everything we need. The beach is within walking distance and it is beautiful in the morning. The only thing that was bothering us was loud neighbors, because our kids couldn't sleep. And mosquitoes ! Besides that, everything else was perfect.
Leah was very kind in getting a cot for our baby and was great at returning messages. The apartments themselves are of a low specification and very basic and I didn't feel as though it was particularly good value for money (we paid cad$182 per night). The main issue was the temperature - it was a very hot day and the temp in the front room was 32 degrees Celsius at 7.30 pm when we arrived. There was no air con and no fan. Leah allowed us to let ourselves into an empty cottage to borrow their desk fan but we couldn't put it in the baby's room as neither of the two rooms had a plug socket. He was sweating and crying as he couldn't sleep for the heat. For this reason, we were going to leave when Leah kindly upgraded us to a different higher spec cottage which had ceiling fans and so, although hot, were of a bearable temperature. Overall, I think there is a lot left to be done to improve the cottages but Leah and her husband were pleasant to deal with which saved the day in our case!
Great place. Had two cottages side by side. Clean cottages , with BBQ grills, benches etc.
Best part was the 2min walk to the beach. Away from the crowded public main section, so had the beach to ourselves!
The location is great. Chill and close to the beach.didnt meet the owner but sounds really nice. The cabin is pretty mediocre.
Great location, very close to the beach. Good sized cottage for the price! Had a very nice vacation.
Leah responded right away when I had a question, great location to the beach but not much else around for kids. I think they need to be updated a bit and the shower was cold. It' great if it is nice and not raining but as there is not much to do and it would have been a little easier if there was maybe a DVD player or cable in the cottage, we played a lot of games but a 3yr old and an 9 yr old gets bored easily, great little fish and chip place on the corner.
This review is for cottage #7
The location was prime, in a quieter spot of Wasaga beach which was ideal for avoiding a crowded Beach experience.
The pictures on the listing however did not match our cottage interior and the accomodation standards and cleanliness were not great.
If you are a group of 6 be advised the futon in the living room is not too comfortable and no blanket or pillows were provided.
There is also a 10$ charge for firewood for the fire pit which we were not made aware of prior to booking.
The complex of cottages face one another so there is not too much privacy but it was not a big issue for us since we weren't too bothered by the noisy guests in other cottages.
Overall it was a pleasant retreat from the city and the cost/value is appropriate if just the few minor concerns mentioned are addressed.
Had an excellent stay. Pictures don't do it justice. Perfect location for a good time in wasaga. Close to the strip, but just far enough to have an adequate amount of privacy. Very clean and had all the essentials needed for a great stay. Highly recommended, and would def stay there again. Thanks again
