This is a beautiful old house on a wide street in an elegant tree-lined neighborhood. We were greeted warmly by Carol and her friendly dog, Dodger. The third floor suite was well equipped with comfortable beds, a warm shower, and nice touches such as plentiful towels and shampoo. We appreciated the mini fridge and microwave. In the morning, Carol helped us make coffee & chatted with us about her home. This is a great place to stay if business or pleasure brings you to Hartford.
I felt safe walking about at night in this quiet neighborhood. My quarters were private, clean and spacious. I enjoyed my stay here immensely.
It was a pleasurable experience
The top floor was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Carol was very responsive and helpful.
Great experience. Accommodating host and nice facilities.
First, the driving directions provided by the host were very helpful and allowed us to avoid the rush hour traffic on I94. The suite was very comfortable and spacious. The location was on quiet and close to the University of Hartford which was our primary reason for visiting. the dining suggestions were very helpful also.
I stayed for a long weekend. Great location. Lovely old house. Carol was a warm and welcoming host, helpful and friendly. The third floor attic suite was private, very cosy and comfortable and had an amazing modern bathroom (with jacuzzi!). When the weather suddenly turned cold Carol gave me an extra heater for the room. Access to the lovely Elizabeth Park is right across the street. Overall a very nice stay; it felt like I was staying at the house of friends, which is one of the nicest things about using Airbnb. Thanks Carol !
We really enjoyed staying at Carol's third floor suite. This is a wonderful house in a great location in West Hartford. The roomy suite was perfect for my mother and I. Carol and her sweet dog were very welcoming!
Our host Carol gave us such a warm welcome! Having the third floor to ourselves with a separate sitting area was a nice feature. Situated across the road from Carol's home is Elizabeth Park. The Rose Garden there established in 1904 is the oldest municipal rose garden in the U.S. Even in October the Park was so beautiful to walk through. Carol also suggested Effie's for breakfast where we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service was the best! Carol's home is located in a very nice neighborhood with conveniences nearby. You will feel just as welcomed by the precious family dog!
We got a little lost on the street where Carol's house is and when we called her, she came out to the corner and waved to us as we talked on the phone. Very helpful! Carol was correct about her dog. Very sweet and friendly!
Lovely large space, two rooms and a big bathroom on a private 3rd floor. Carol is friendly, helpful and particularly nice to my daughter.
It was a pleasure to have Carol and her son stay at the house. they were most considerate, and great company. i hope they return when they can.
