Very happy with our stay at Liam's place. The apartment is centrally located a very short walk from the Imperial Palace and near the heart of Kyoto. The apartment has everything you could need and is well-provisioned. There are some excellent restaurants a few minutes' walk up or down Marutamachi Dori and there is a convenience store nearby for other groceries. Bus stops and train station are very close. A great place to be in the beating heart of the real Kyoto.
It all went smoothly from start to finish. A real home away from home.
Liam's place was in a good location in a quieter part of the city, but very close to the subway, as well as the Imperial Palace and Nijo Castle. I recommend visiting the castle at night for cherry blossoms! The space was a bit cozy for three, but it worked out.
Good sized apartment in a residential area! It is near a hospital so got a bit noisy occasionally! Gets dusty but may just be the set up! Very easy to get around and 2 stops away from most of the action by subway! Liam was very thorough with communication! And had pretty much all you need for amenities. Bit too much furniture for the size of the apartment but hey this is Japan ! Better than a hotel any day!
We had a lovely stay at Liam's apartment. The location was walking distance to the Imperial Palace and the bus to many of the area temples were just a block away. It was a nice walk to the shopping areas as well. We particularly enjoyed walking to Le Petit Mec for pastries & coffee in the morning.
Liam communicated everything well & in advance so there were no surprises. The apartment was perfect for 2, well laid out and certainly spacious by Japanese standards, located in a clean, modern building.
Liam's apartment is great. Communicating and arriving was really easy. The apartment is pretty large by Japanese standards and the bed was very comfortable. Having access to the two bikes was brilliant, allowing us to ride everywhere we wanted to see in Kyoto. We'd have no hesitation in staying at Liam's apartment again.
We enjoyed our stay here. Its is quite cozy. We appreciate how Liam took the effort to label the different electronics. It was pretty helpful, but I think we were still confused how the heater works. The big TV is nice, but slightly precariously placed. I hit myself on the wooden box containing some game consoles because there was limited walking space. The location is great, slightly away from the crowded touristy area of downtown Kyoto/Gion area. The best part was that he had 2 bikes available for us to use to explore the town. He had plenty of guidebooks and maps - which were very useful.
Great appartment in downtown Kyoto.
Great little apartment in Kyoto! Very central location. We fit 3 people here comfortably (1 on the futon, 2 in the bed). Liam was quick to respond to all my messages and he had Cody (since Liam was presumably away) welcome us at the subway station and give us a mini tour of the area, which was nice.
Liam was really thoughtful and helpful. The apartment is in a great location, central without being too busy or loud.
Nice location. Clean. Reasonable sized and equipped by Japanese standards. Liam was a great host. Quick to respond. Friendly. Everything was easy.
