“Take only memories, leave only footprints.” – Chief Seattle
I've lived all over Portland, but after planting roots in the Alberta Arts district a nearly a decade ago, I can't imagine living anywhere else. Even in a city known for 'different', Alberta pushed the free- and forward-thinking envelope just a little bit further.
I've worn a lot of different hats over the years, but right now I'm drawn to the intersection where art, activism and the cooperative movement meet. I think the Alberta neighborhood is a great template where we might develop and model sustainable local urban living--I'd love to see food planted up and down the alleys, Alberta Street turned into a permanent walking/shopping boulevard. Cottage industry coops of all stripes, art everywhere!
I'm happy to open our house to the fabulous folk who find their way to us. What's your passion?
