The cabin was perfect for our stay. Very comfortable and in a fantastic location.
We had a wonderful time at Tom's cabin. Tom and his family are very friendly, and Tom was good at keeping in touch and made a point to make sure we had everything we needed. The cabin itself is clean and cozy, with all the amenities and a good shower. The kitchen is well-equipped, although we only used it once (to cook lobster - he has a large pot and shell-crackers). Ocean Point is a great town to be in. It's very peaceful, with amazing views and walking trails. The general store's donuts are a breakfast treat. If you're looking for a bit more excitement, Boothbay Harbor is only a short drive away, and has all the restaurants and touristy attractions you could want. We strongly recommend the Ocean Point Cabin, and would definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area again.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Tom's cabin. He was kind and thoughtful and also very responsive both before, during and after our visit. The cabin is cute and cozy with all the amenities we desired. Cabin in the woods is nice but so is Internet! And we were both fans of the comfy bed. The Ocean Point location can't be beat; it's one of the more beautiful places I've been. Ocean point is quiet and beautiful but only a 15 minute drive to town, so you have the best of both worlds. I hope to return soon and hope to stay at Tom's cabin again.
This cabin in the pines is exactly what we needed for this first getaway in Maine with our four month old baby. It is a peaceful place without being miles from civilization. Tom and his wife Tish welcomed us to Ocean Point, a charming and quiet community. Tom showed us around the area and the cabin. He always made sure we were not missing anything. The cabin is just a minute away from the ocean where you can watch some amazing sunsets when the weather allows it. Everything that Maine has to offer (sand beaches, fresh lobster and blueberries, etc) was less then 45 min drive. So, it is not surprising that we were more then pleased with our stay. Maybe if you are lucky, you'll get some of Tish's fresh bread upon your arrival.
Idyllic and a bit rustic setting under tall pines, less than 5 minute stroll to enjoy sight and sounds of Maine's gorgeous coast line. Perfect option for day trippers who do not enjoy the motel-style facilities. Host was right on with suggested sightseeing and restaurant locations.
This was a perfect getaway for a weekend in Maine. The cabin was comfortable and stowed away just a block from a great ocean view. It was also in easy distance to Boothbay Harbor for adventuring. Ocean Point was also lovely. Tom and Tish were very welcoming and gave us some great advice about local eateries and things to see.
We were looking for something more private than a hotel room to stay in while attending a wedding and Tom's cabin was a perfect fit for us. I hope to have an excuse to visit again!
What perfect accomodations for our family. Our son loved the toys and adorable children's seats. And we felt comfortable letting him run barefooted about the cabin, as it was immaculate.
Tom is a wonderful host, checking in to make sure all of our needs were met. Though we never ran into any issues, he was always within reach for whatever we may have needed.
The cabin's proximity to the ocean (just a short walk down the hill) and wooded surrounding made for a lovely vacation.
I highly recommend this rental to anyone wanting to get away and enjoy Maine's coast!
Tom's cabin is the perfect little Maine getaway! Tucked into the woods but just a few minutes walk from the ocean, its location is perfect for those who want a quiet retreat. It comes with all the important amenities (like wifi and a lobster pot!) and Tom was a very nice person with whom to make all the arrangements. I highly recommend this cabin for a lovely Maine holiday.
We drove into "uncle tom's cabin" late on the night we were supposed to stay, so we were very excited for the scenery that the morning light would bring. Tom was available to help me get on the internet so I was able to get some work done. We woke up in a beautiful, remote residential neighborhood surrounded by tall straight pines and moments from the water front. Try the Breakfast Pizza at the General Store!!
