I am a typical Vermonter although a transplant from Rochester, NY about 30 years ago. I've always been an adventurer and have had a very interesting, unusual life. I came here in 1986 as an undergraduate student to attend the School for International Training in Brattleboro. At the time I had dreams of traveling the world and trying to make a tiny divit in all our many challenges.
I have been lucky to do some of that while living here in this paradise including travel to Nepal to work with Save the Children, and performing humanitarian work in Jordan and Iraq during the first Gulf crisis.
I have worked as a nurse, non-profit organization director, studied and practiced Homeopathy and natural medicine. I remain very interested in holisitic medicine, global issues and politics, ecology, and all related topics.
I raised two kids, the youngest is now a senior @ UMaine studying Marine Science. While you are at my house I'll be staying at my other home, Moon Rise Temple. I'll invite you up for a visit if you'd like. Moon Rise Temple is a lovely off the grid, solar powered strawbale cottage I designed and built 5 miles north of Putney village. I am currently renovating so I can offer stays and workshops there as well. I posted a photo in my pictures section so check it out and let me know if you'd like a visit!
Life has taught me that everyone has an interesting story to tell, and I'll be looking forward to hearing yours while we visit and get you settled for a fabulous and relaxing stay here in beautiful southern Vermont!
