Best place we had by using Airbnb! Caterina and her family are very friendly and gave us a familiar atmosphere, when we arrived. The appartment and the area is amazing, you will relax at once and can enjoy the peace of the mountains. As there are not so many possibilities to buy essential things I would recommend to buy it in advance in L'Aquila. But btw, Catreina and her family offer the best cake, cookies and jam, so that you have the most important things for breakfast or relaxing te time.- great stay, too short, I like to come again!
My father and I had such a wonderful time at this ancient beautiful location. They even had food for us such as ricotta cake, breads, coffee, fruit, juices, tea, wines, and cooking supplies. The TV had plenty of channels. The host even took us to Montepulciano d'Abruzzo vineyards where we did wine tasting with cheese, meats, bread, and delicious olive oil for free. We even met the owner of the wine company. It was such a lovely relaxing experience. The village is small but the scenery is just breathe taking. There are also beautiful friendly dogs roaming the street and sheep following their Shepherd. I would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get away to a small village that's also relaxing. It is well worth the money due to the hospitality and overall experience.
We really enjoyed our time at La Finestra. It (email hidden) with plenty of room and very friendly hosts. A delicious breakfast pastry and coffee were included. The town and surrounding country side were beautiful, and the view from the window is very nice. On the recommendation of the host we visited the castle ruins at Rocca Calascio at sunset and it was amazing. Highly recommend!
