I know that when you arrive at "La Saracena" you were coming from a 5 stars luxury hotel (Monastero Santa Rosa), so I understand that it was difficult to get out of the habit of a so lavish accommodation. "La Saracena" is a budget accommodation characterized by the tipicality, the historical value, the intimacy and quietness of the house. We do all our best to satisfy our guest and all the other review can show it.
If you didn't like the bed sheets, it was sufficient to tell me that, the closet is full of bed linen!
Unfortunately the Amalphitan Coast, as many places with see and rocks, is dump and we had a very rainy April. We remade the plaster of the wall at the ground floor in May and we left it untreated, without the white painting, to let the walls exsiccate; so that's why it is "discolored"
About the ants, "La Saracena" is surrounded by plants (lemon trees, figs...), it can happen that some ants arrive, especially when the guests don't dispose of trash for days. Nevertheless we always resupply the house with the insecticide.
The bathroom is not enormous and the shower doesn't have the cabin, but none had the same problem of you before. "La Saracena" is a very ancient house and is subject to historical and architectural restrictions, so it is not possible to modify the structure to make a bigger bathroom. However we consider it a precious value.
Maybe in your meticulous review you should have mentioned also something about your check in.
I tried to contact you for 2 days before your arrival (mail, airbnb messages) to know at what time you would have arrived without any answer. I sent you massage on your phone and the answer, in the late evening, was: "we will arrive prior 1pm". So, a person was at you disposal for the whole morning even if you were coming from an hotel located at 3 km from my house and it is not usual if you rent a private house. In addition, we let you arrive before the established time for the check in (3 pm).
Driving to Amalfi center takes not more than 10 minutes.
