Really nice cozy place. It is a little out of the way from the city and hard to get to by the very windy road, but perfect for those finding an escape from the city. The hosts are super nice.
Diarmuid was quick to respond and is a very friendly host who was gracious when I had a last-minute change in plans.
We had an adventure in getting here - a road block from a tractor trailer jackknifing on the snowy road just 2 miles from the lodge! Darmuid couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful in getting us to the lodge. We ordered a steak dinner when we got there, soaked in the jacuzzi tub, and slept peacefully and comfortably in the cozy room. We woke up to the most beautiful crisp morning with 18 inches of new snow and gorgeous blue skies. We'd like to return to cross country ski!
The setting is beautiful and we were very surprised and pleased after our long day of travel. The restaurant and staff were great and made dinner memorable as well. Our room was quite cozy, comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. We met Diarmuid at breakfast and he was quite pleasant. We could tell he took great pride in his Lodge. It is a great get away!
Beautiful place out in the wilderness, yet with the amenities that make your holiday a pleasant stay.
The cabin was fantastic, living right in the middle of the woods with deer walking by within 100 yds was an experience.
The restaurant was top quality, the food was good, with interesting choices. We all loved it. The kids had a blast. Diarmuid was a very gracious host. We accidentally had a breakage - he did not charge us for it.
I cannot not say enough good things about the place.
This place is breathtakingly gorgeous!!!! I only wish we would have stayed (email hidden) Springs Inn. The cabin is two stories and beautifully furnished. It has an amazing view of the mountains and is very secluded. They thought of everything you could possibly need in the cabin! The Jacuzzi tub on the deck was one of the best parts because you are on a private deck with a view of the stars and mountains. It snowed several inches and we were so happy to be able to do a little back country snowboarding nearby. The (email hidden) Springs restaurant is absolutely delicious!! I highly recommend this place to anyone going on a road trip near Ashland. It was so magical we did not want to leave!
We really appreciated the hospitality shared by Diarmuid and his family. It was great to chat with him about the history of the place and what he's done with the lodge and the new cabins he's put up since he took over the place. He even invited us to join in on a community party, although we were exhausted from the long drive. Unfortunately, we were in and out due to a strict travel schedule, but we would have loved to taken Diarmuid's offer to show us the grounds and the cabins. We would definitely recommend the Green Springs Inn if you're ever in the neighborhood, or even a relaxing escape from city life in and of itself.
The Inn has a very comfortable room. The silence at night is only equaled by the number of stars in the sky. The road to and from Ashland is sports car heaven (state highway 66). We saw a play at the Festival that was really really good. When we return to Ashland Diarmuid's Inn is for us. The breakfast at the restaurant in the morning was also very good.
A little out of the way but well worth it. The attached restaurant was a great place to eat.
Wonderful! Beautiful location, food was great, very relaxing!
Green Springs Inn was a highlight of our trip up the Oregon Coast, Diarmuid and his son Padraic were extremely hospitable and truly lived by their values. The Inn is nestled in a mountain valley, far from the distractions and chaos of everyday life. So far that televisions have to actually be requested for your room! The room we stayed in was fabulous, cozy and clean with an enclosed porch sporting a giant jacuzzi tub. And how refreshing when the coffee, tea and water in the room is complimentary for once! We thought this was as good as it could get until morning when we awoke to beautiful woods and a wholesome breakfast at the restaurant filled with locals and travelers alike. (Try the sourdough pancakes!) We really respect the love that this father and son pair put into this establishment, building the cabins themselves and still focusing on the natural surroundings of the park. We wish them the best of luck and hope we can visit again soon!
