Hands down the WORST guest I have ever had and is one that I would STRONGLY recommend avoiding. He had complaints that were downright false - ex - said my internet is "spotty" when I have the highest speed ATT provides AND a $300 apple airport express to strengthen my speed. I have never in my three years of living here had a single problem with my internet, not have any of my guests. His complaints were just downright untrue. I even checked with my next door neighbor to see if she was having any internet issues with her ATT service and she said she hadn't had a one.
The next weekend after he stayed, I had another guest and left the apt in the same condition and got a glowing review. The sheets he complained about were literally purchased the day before, washed, and put on the bed. He complained the towels smelled of mildew, yet my guests the next weekend said they were great and neither I nor my boyfriend could smell any indication of the "mold smell" he complained of.
From the minute he contacted me, he was beyond needy- asking about food I clearly stated I didn't provide (despite the multitude that I do), asking to borrow a bike I never indicated I owned or would make available,
I spent 2 hours cleaning the apt prior to his arrival, including vacuuming and steam mopping all the floors. If that is not sufficient for an AirBNB guest (although it always has been with my prior guests), I don't know what is. I keep my apartment extremely clean, and even went out of my extensively to provide an even cleaner experience.
More than any of this, George LEFT THE KEY TO MY APARTMENT ON TOP OF THE FRONT MAT. I was so appalled when I returned to my apartment to find this. He completely jeopardized every single position I had in my apartment. Furthermore, I have 2 requests for my guest upon leaving 1) turn of the AC 2) empty the trash. When I got home, the trash was still in multiple trashcans stinking up my apartment. I don't think asking a guest to take out the trash is asking a lot. The fact that George couldn't even grant me the respect after being a guest in my home to not leave my key on my front mat where anyone could find it, nor take out his own trash upon leaving, greatly indicates the type of guest he is.
George wanted to get out of his responsibility once he had booked my place, and used whatever complaints, however invalid, to do so. Airbnb required George to pay for a night in which he didn't stay and refused to pay for, I believe further demonstrating the difficulty he raises as a guest and the lack of validity to his complaints.
Great guest. Found apartment the same ways as I left it.
George was a fantastic guest, he was very understanding when we had a slight issue with his reservation and was cool with everything. A very easy guest to deal with.
George stayed with us for three nights and was a very respectful, quiet, clean and great guest. He is definitely welcome anytime again!
