Anna made sure we had good directions and the code to get into the peaceful and inviting, beach retreat. It was clean and had up to date kitchen and laundry room essentials for our family of 7. There are 2 bedrooms down stairs with one small bath and open kitchen. We cooked or grilled one or two meals every day and everything worked well. The table was big enough for all of us and the high chair along with the baby gate and pack-n-play were life savers. Upstairs was a huge living area with a daybed and large sectional couch for movie nights. There was a large bath and a long separate bedroom that had; a queen bed and bunk beds that had a full on the bottom and twin on top. From the pictures I thought these were separate bedrooms but we made it work for; a family of three, a single guy, a couple and the mother/grandmother. The neighborhood was quiet but just a block from the stairs that lead to the beach and the breathtaking Devil's Punchbowl.
Anna's house in Otter Rock is awesome, big and comfy and very convenient to the beach. It's a 1 block walk to convenient store/food/coffee and a great look out point and just down the stairs to a great beach.
The house was beautiful and STOCKED with kid-friendly items...a pack-n-play, booster seat and plenty of games. Communication was quite easy and it was nice sitting on the deck, listening to the waves at night.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Otter Rock. It is just North of Newport and it is easy to walk from the beach to the house to explore tidal pools and the inside of Devil's Punchbowl at low tide. The house was clean and comfortable and we enjoyed making our seafood meals on the grill and in the spacious kitchen, which was well-equipped. It was nice to have a bathroom both upstairs and down and a bedroom both upstairs and down. We had a slight problem on the second night with the bathtub upstairs - we think their was a leak in the overflow. Anna apologized and responded quickly by sending someone the next morning. (We left early that day- so we were not there for the final result.) We would definitely stay here again- it had everything we needed!
Great location, a very short walk to nice beaches and tide pools. The house is perfect; we had 4 adults and 3 kids, and added to the brood one night for dinner. There's plenty of room to spread out, and lots of toys and games for young children, as well as tons of VCR/DVD movies and an assortment of books. The house has a well stocked kitchen and ample linens and towels. The check-in/out procedure is easy, too.
What a fantastic place! It's a beautiful house with plenty of room to spread out with a group. We had 3 adults and 2 kids and we had plenty of room. Anna was great at communicating details. A quiet neighborhood with a short walk down the hill to a great tidepooling/beachcombing beach (spectacular sunsets). The house, the location, the owner: we couldn't have asked for more. Our only regret is that we wish we could've stayed longer! Skip Newport, Otter Rock is where you want to be!
Awesome place to stay! The house is super spacious, clean, and only a short walk to the beach. We arrived to a goody basket welcoming us to the place. We booked the place the morning of the trip and Anna quickly responded to the request and made the check in process easy. Definitely worth a visit!
Beautiful home, STUNNING beach a short walk from the front door. We had a great time, Anna had very clear opening and closing instructions. Loved the area and highly recommend this place.
Great stay over Easter weekend. There were 3 moms and 3 kids and everyone slept wonderfully. We enjoyed walking the trail down to the beach and exploring the tide pools, stopping in at Mo's for some clam chowder, and catching some sun on the deck.
The house had EVERYTHING you could need and Anna was helpful with making sure we understood the locks as well as with a late check out on Easter Sunday since there were no bookings for the next day.
Would definitely come back for a longer stay.
We stayed at Anna's house in Sunriver. The house was in a great location of the Sunriver development. It was very clean and well stocked. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the wonderful deck. We come to Sunriver every year and have never stayed in this part of the complex before. It was very enjoyable. Walking and biking trails right by the house. The combination door lock arrangement works wonderfully, especially since we never know when we will arrive at our destination while traveling. The house has a woodsy lodge feel to it that my husband fell in love with. Downtown Bend was hoppin' on Saturday night. Really nice to see downtown doing so well. Went to the Tower theater for George Winston. The 900 Wall Restaurant was good for a fast glass of wine and small plate meal. Nice "young and with it" atmosphere. Thank you Anna for a wonderful time.
The Beach Retreat was lovely - especially the upstairs - and the "welcome bucket" was a nice touch. It's even better that it looks online! It's a short walk down to the beach, which is where you want to be during low tide to explore the spectacular tide pools and the Devil's Punchbowl. Our 12 year old grandson was never bored! Other than the beds being a little too firm for our old bones - they are the 1 piece futon style (no box springs) - the only issue we had was with the TV, which we only had time for in the evening. Anna was great about connecting us with the owner who helped resolve the problems. The TV/DVD directions are confusing enough, but it didn't help matters that we were there after "little guests" who enjoyed pushing buttons. ;-) But hopefully you're not coming here to watch TV because there are so many wonderful places to see in this area. We look forward to coming back here with the whole family. Oh! And the tap water is great! Plus for those of us who appreciate soft water, it's wonderful! Little things make a big difference. :-) Thank you, Anna!
