Juddhaven Guest House is the original homestead built by Francis Judd and family when they settled on the shores of Lake Rosseau, Muskoka in 1875
Ken and Marilyn instantly made us feel welcome. We stayed in the Pine Room and had exclusive use of the upstairs bathroom complete with clawfoot bathtub as we were the only guests staying that night. The bed itself was the comfiest we slept in on our whole trip!
Lake Rosseau is literally at the end of the driveway and there is a lovely little wooden dock and sandy shoreline. The water is pristine - so clear and clean, with a soft sandy bottom to it. It really would give some of Scotland's lakes a run for their money!
We thoroughly enjoyed a swim in the lake and Ken and Marilyn kindly let us use their canoe to explore more of the lake, which we would highly recommended people to do. The breakfast served by Marilyn was perfect and the home made muffins were delicious. The breakfast room is lovely as morning light filters through the windows. It was nice to learn about the history of the house and to see some old photographs of it and the surrounding area.
We would not hesitate to recommend the Juddhaven and would definitely return in the future.
Fabulous location. Kind, delightful and generous hosts who invited us to their big dinner on one of the nights and to two bonfires! Super friendly guests. Amazing room. Scrumptious breakfasts. Every single little detail was taken care of effortlessly and at the same time we felt like we were spending our labour day long week end with friends!
We're planning on going back in the Fall :)
My friend and I were looking for a short relaxation holiday in Muskoka. We could not have been happier with our experience at Juddhaven. Our short stay felt like a "time out of time". This historic B&B is a taste of "old" Muskoka, with the comfort of today. The breakfast was fantastic, and we could not believe the reasonable price. We loved the beach, the front porch in the evening by candlelight and the quiet location at the north end of the lake. We left feeling like we not only had a holiday, but also made a friend. Thanks, Marilyn, for your warm hospitality. We'll be back!.
It was simply perfect and wonderful. Ken and Marilyn are very nice and helpful. And they made the best breakfast on our tour. The room was very nice too. The building is in a very quiet countryside where deers and racoons say goodnight to you.
We can just recommend anybody to go there!
We loved to stay at the lakeside b&b. Ken & Marilyn are nice people. As we were the only guest on that night they gave us the best room. Nice breakfast. Thanks a lot. We can recommed the b&b to anyone.
