I am Gyula from Budapest.I speak English, German, Danish and bit of French. I inherited this charming house from my godparents.
Come and taste the peaceful life of Pécsely!
I really liked the location. It was just as in the pictures, very peacefull and quiet. It's not very close to the Balaton lake though, you really need a car or go by bus. Riding a bike trhough this area coulcd be dangerous as cars drive really fast. Gyula's parents were lovely and helpful, although we didn't need much help.
What we didn't like was that the apartment was rather filthy. Spiderrags everywhere, a dirty toilet and other unpleasant signs of previous guests. We were a little surprised about it because Gyula's parents seemed very clean people - but maybe they leave the apartment rental to their son, cleaning incuded. I would recommend this place because it's beautiful, but you may expect some dirtyness.
Another thing: Gyula was hard to reach by phone. Not good in case you can't find the apartment, like we did.
We stayed one week in Pecsely at Gyula's and I can say that it was a perfect holiday, since the house is really perfect for a summer stay, it has a pretty garden in the back, with grass so that you can sunbathe, take your breakfast. If you prefer more shadow, there's another table under the porch at the entrance. The nature around is amazing and all in all, in 10mn you are at Balaton!
I warmly recommand Gyula's house!
We were really last minute on booking Gyula's house, and he was a perfect host. we loved the house, it is true to the pictures. The village is very beautiful, and would go back to Gyula's place anytime!
