It was wonderful to stay with Ellen this fall. Her home is secluded yet there are so many things to do within just a short drive. Beach access is very close (just across the street). The sunsets are beautiful and the stars are amazing at night.
The suite has a comfy queen bed, bath, microwave, small frig and other essentials. We found the arrangements to be quite comfortable and the private access is very convenient.
Ellen is very hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. It was very nice to talk, I wish I could come back for a whole week!
We had a lovely stay with Ellen! Her house was located in such a beautiful place, and she was so welcoming and generous. Her dog is adorable, too. The drinks and snacks in our room where a nice touch and everything was very clean and homey. We would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet and rejuvenating experience.
Ellen was very kind when we called to let her know we were going to be much later than predicted. The room was tidy and comfortable, with a large bathroom en suite that also had a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. the fridge was stocked with nice things to drink, there was good coffee to make and fluffy towels.
The best parts, though, were the area (the series of small ismuths that is Harpswell) and Ellen's wonderful suggestions. We had an amazing lobster lunch on the pier at a community run lobster shack that was well above the ordinary in nearby Cundy's Point and enjoyed eating on the pier and watching the boats and chatting with the folks who run the place.
Thank you Ellen!
We had a great visit. Ellen greeted us with a glass of wine and we shared interests in arts and travels. The room had a private entrance from the outside and a private bathroom, refrigerator and TV, toaster oven, and supply of orange juice, English muffins, raspberry preserves. We got good suggestions of places to eat and things to do. Location is beautiful on private road and wonderful view of the bay. If fancy is what you want, this might not be it. But if you are like most of us, you will have a comfortable, enjoyable visit to waterside Maine.
Response from Ellen F:
