The apartment is very spacious but very basic. It has pretty much everything u will need. It's about 5 blocks walking from 2 gyms, a supermarket, coffee shops and major retail stores.
Studio was right on par with what was expected, was great. Nice and clean, simple and near a really cool part of south Philly. I would definitely recommend, fair for the price too. Thank you!
Good experience all in all. The studio was clean and furnished with basic necessities for a lengthened stay. Washer and dryer in unit was very convenient. We only had three qualms during our stay. 1) The futon, which we thought would be a viable second bed was very old and hard and extremely uncomfortable. 2) No cable TV or DVD player, and 3) while South 19th street is generally a quiet/safe street - Snyder street is neither (the studio is at located at 19th and Synder streets). If you’re driving and arrive at the studio after 8pm you will not be able to find a parking spot near the studio and the walk back can be scary as the surrounding neighborhood isn’t the safest.
The place was fine. Everything was there, the place was clean. I would say that it's not that close to the city center and the area around doesn't that clean. But Mer as a host is a nice person, we were always in touch, we asked her for some extra things (blankets, etc,) and she easily brought it at the same day! It was really nice!
There is an apartment on the 2nd floor, where people were also living and I can say that the soundproof isn't that good.
Directions of how to get into the apartment was easy! Felt safe and comfortable. Parking.... Yea it's south philly so if your driving might be a little difficult but it was cool. Tons of places to eat not far from downtown at all!!! Can't wait to come back
The apartment is clean and spacious and Mer was a pleasant host to communicate with. She was gracious enough to let me in a bit early to leave my suitcase before heading to an event I was attending. I would recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Philly
Mer's place was such a great place to stay in Philadelphia, and it was very easy to communicate with Mer. The bus to downtown Philadelphia was super close and easy to use, and therefore I wouldn't be concerned with the location. As a first time user of the Airbnb service, my experience couldn't be better.
The apartment had everything I needed and was comfortable. The neighborhood was close to buses and a few blocks from the Broad Street subway. Mer was a great host. I would stay there again.
Mer's apartment was clean and all that she said it would be. We had a little trouble with getting the key/locks to work but once we we got the hang of it we were fine. She had some basic cooking equipment, but not enough to really make an entire meal which we like to do. Both my husband and I stayed here, so although it is listed for 1, a couple would have more than enough room.
I think the location was not ideal which was due to my lack of research of the area, there were no coffee shops close by or restaurants. Parking was easy on the street and there was lots of mass transit.

I needed a place for a month in Philly with parking and easily accessible to the city/95. This studio was great! Street parking and a cheap garage a few blocks down (snyder/passyunk crossroad area); the bus was also frequent and very convenient. Starbucks, a supermarket, and a library within easy walking distance. Great stay. Thank you!
