I like my tower very much - its a very special and cosy home to me . You`ll love it too ;-)
The watertower really is an extraordinary place to stay. It's an historical landmark, and it's quietly located but still literally only meters from an incredible number of (great and diverse) cafees and restaurants. For our little family, it was the perfect place from which to explore Prenzlauer Berg and the rest of Berlin. If you have kids, the area is outstanding; there are so many spacious playgrounds nearby. One is literally neighboring the watertower!
Julia's home is everything you expect from an appartment in a watertower; personally rustique, charming, and warm; it's an appartment where you instantly feel at home! Julia was very friendly; in fact, we were welcomed by a handwritten note full of great recommendations, two guide books, and a bottle of red wine!
Let me end by saying that we've been to Berlin a dozen of times, but never have we enjoyed it as much we did staying in the watertower. We all highly recommend it to anyone.
This is a very special place to stay, it felt like home in a second! It's cozy, sweet, clean and in the best neighborhood ever! We were welcomed warmly and had the best time ever! Hope to return soon! thanks for the good care!
This place was everything you think when you see the pictures: beautiful, clean, authentic, great location. My travel companion arrived early and met with Julia to get the keys and infromation, and could not speak higher of her. My only regret for the whole trip is that I did not get to thank her in person. If you are lucky enough to get the opportunity to stay here, do not hesisitate. Probably the best stay i've had on Airbnb yet.
Our time at the Water Tower was the best way to experience life as Berliners. Little did we know we had chosen a place which is situated in a great part of Berlin with loads of fabulous little shops and cafes as well as cosy bars for a night cap on the way home.
Julia is a great host and made us feel like friends staying over for a few days, even leaving a lovely bottle of wine for us to enjoy on our arrival. The place is really well appointed and delightfully set in an historic building which has amazingly survived Berlin's tumultuous history. Very special.
We had a superb time here and would highly recommend it without hesitation. Of all the Air BnB places we stayed in on this Europe trip (and we did really well overall!), this was our best.
The only thing to keep in mind is that there is no lift in the building and the apartment is on the second floor.
This was our second time and luckily nothing had changed since last time: Fantastic host. Fantastic apartment. Fantastic location. Fantastic city. Thank you very, very much for at lovely stay.
If you want a different experience stay here!
This is a wonderful place, close to a very nice area, full of life, small unique stores, arts, superb cafes... street markets, lots of trees and walking distance to the monument of the Wall, a large market, and only 3 stops to the heart of Berlin (well, Berlin has many hearts) but Albert Plaz. We walked on a couple of times, 30 min to there. The tram comes every 10 minutes and from AlbertPlaz one can go anywhere.
Despite being in a trendy area, it is quite at night. This is also a historic building, a water tower! and a landmark for many years. it is very special.
The rooms are large. We only used the main bedroom but the living room is large. There is a separate toilet from the shower. Kitchen has everything one might need, and there is also a washer.
Julia is a very good host, left us a book on Berlin, some food, and was very nice with any questions we might have asked. The decorations is as unique as the apt.
The apt is on the second story and the stairs are a bit narrow.
We had a great time!
Julia's place is beautiful and comfortable and in a perfect location from which to explore the awesome city of Berlin. Not incidentally, Prenzlauer Berg is also a perfect location to *not* explore the city, and just enjoy all the shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and parks within the quick walking and bike riding vicinity. We never actually met Julia, but she was quick to respond to any emails, the check-in and check-out process was smooth as butter, and I would definitely recommend this gorgeous place to anyone.
Julia has an AMAZING flat in a GREAT neighborhood. It truly was one of the most magical stays I've had in a long time. The flat is FANTASTIC - its light, quiet, easy to find (all the taxi cabs know the building) and close to the U Bahn. Immediately surrounding the flat there are some fantastic restaurants. Julia is super accommodating as a host and I would recommend anyone that is looking for an unusual place to stay, to rent Julia's magical water tower. She even left me some coffee to use in the mornings. I will for sure be back.
Julia is a great and very nice woman. Her apartment is really beautiful in a great and nice part of Berlin. Also, how many times can one say they stayed in a German Watertower. I was there for busines but I felt like I was home. Thanks Julia.
