Hello! I was born in Stone Town but I moved to Jambiani to start a new life. Than I opened this guesthouse along with my brother.

We had a great time at Nyamkwi White Sands. The crew was very nice and relax. The location is beautiful. We are happy that we spend two nights at Nyamkwi. Keep on the good work!!
We spent 3 nights in Nyamkwi and we had a wonderful time! The position is perfect to walk around the main beaches of the east coast, instead it was always quite long to reach Stone Town.
The place is cozy and nice, simple but with everything you would need (except for towels! we asked for them and the guy didn't know where to look and gave us dirty ones..). The breakfast also was good and filling. I would definitely recommend this place for those travelers who prefer a simple but authentic accommodation to a 5 stars that reminds you of your home benefits.
Least but not last: beautiful cats are hanging out around the place, free cuddle in front of the sea!:)
I was not easy to find the place, but once we finally did it was worth it. The rooms are simple, no frills and comfortable. The hosts are nice and the beach is stunning.
Still looking for the right words
We had a great time at Nyamkwi White Sand. Perfect location right on the beach in Jambiani. The rooms are basic but clean. There is a shared shower/toilet (clean but be warned there is no door!) Even if this is a shared space it still feels very private. The best part about the b&b is definitely the food and bar. Jacob is an AMAZING chef and we ate lunch/dinner because his creations were so delicious especially the octopus curry! Oteeny and his brother were really laid back and helped us with everything we needed - rides, snorkeling hookups etc. No doubt we would love to come back and chill here the next time we are in Zanzi.
Nyamkwi is a perfect place to spend time during your trip to Zanzibar unless you look for a fancy hotel with a pool :). I stayed with my family (mum, dad, aunt and brother) for five days in three nice rooms having the house just for ourselves. All of us enjoyed a lot. The bar is really cool, staff is friendly, helpful and with great taste of music. It is easy to get there and to travel around by a local public transport or a hired taxi.
I would not hesitate to stay at Nyamkwi anytime visiting Zanzibar!
We had a bit of a bad start, but these guys did every thing to make sure that we forgot about this part... And we did!
It felt like a warm and safe harbour in many aspects to stay with these heartwarming brothers. The place is a gem and for sure our upscale stay in Matemwe can't compete with this special place, where you can also order great value local dishes! We really missed you guys and for sure if we ever return to Jambiani, we'll choose to stay with you guys for sure!
We were a group of 6 kitesurfers and spent beautiful 23 days at Oteeny’s place. Before we arrived we thought the location is a disadvantage, but we soon realized it is not, we could easily and cheaply get a taxi to Paje and then enjoy the downwinder back to Jambiani at sunset.
The place itself is very simple decorated in local style. But when you go to Africa, that’s exactly what you want. The rooms are not the biggest, but we used them only for sleeping. We spent most of the time in restaurant (living room) or on a bar, because there is a free wi-fi and mainly because of the people.
Oteeny, his brother, Doctor and other staff are really the spirit of the place. We spent many hours talking to them and sometimes party with them. Moreover, there are living 3 cute cats and one super-friendly dog called Tiger. We had such a nice time with Tiger every morning when we had breakfast. The breakfast was simply huge. There is also a kitchen you can use, or just ask Doctor or the others for cooking something for you.
This is a definitely the right place to taste the Africa style. Simple, magic, fantastic, beautiful and friendly. I highly recommend the place, especially for group of young people or kitesurfers. It was our first time, but not the last time.
We had a great stay. Very basic rooms - but cheap - and in a great location right on the beach. Super for some chill out days.
A group of us stayed here in November and could not have been happier.
The accommodation was simple but very clean. The setting was absolutely stunning, and the staff very very friendly.
With snorkelling, scuba diving and swimming with Dolphins right on your door step you will never be bored!
Will definitely go back!
