Thank you for writing.
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge your issue with the mattress. I am sorry you found a slow leak in it and were disturbed from your sleep. I had a guest stay on it the previous weekend and they had no issue with it. I will resolve the mattress leak.
I also apologize for the dime-sized stain on the carpet. Though I had vacuumed the carpet several times, I had not noticed it until you brought it up. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. It appears that someone left a bit of gum on the floor. I have since removed it.
I am sorry you found the cleanliness of the bathroom questionable. I cleaned the toilet and sink that morning assuring that it was in fact both clean and sanitary. I apologize for any hair you may have found on the shower drain.
Before either you or your plus one left your bedroom, we were making pancakes and eggs in the kitchen and had boiled water. Before we could ask you about your breakfast preferences, you and your plus one made your way silently to the door, bags in hand. I stopped you to ask whether you were heading out for breakfast to which you replied, "yes."
As for you having "confronted" me, you pulled your car partly down the driveway before returning to the house to ask if "the coffee had already been brewed." I politely apologized for not having already made coffee. Again, your preference for coffee over tea was unknown to me. Coffee could have easily been brewed before your departure.
I appreciate your feedback as I am looking to better my guests' experiences.
