Ivan was a very kind host. He respected the privacy of his guests, but was friendly and welcoming. I was able to meditate with Ivan in the Zendo room which was lovely. The place is older and in need of some TLC, but the price and location make up for that. I stayed there while I looked for a place to buy, had a vehicle, but if I didn't I would have been able to get access to many places as the location of the hostel was central to downtown Squamish.
I will be visiting from time to time to meditate when I move out there. :)
Ivan and his family were amazing. They were
So helpful and kind. The room was clean and comfortable and we felt very safe.
We recommend the Hostel as your next travel stop. It is a 45 minute drive to Whistler
And there is a lot to do in the area. We could not have been happier with our stay.
Thank you Ivan for your hospitality. Hope to see you again soon. Sophia and Sarah
Ivan made us feel very welcome, he was even happy to let us drop off some luggage before check-in so we could go hiking without worrying about leaving stuff in the car. He was helpful in showing us around the trailer and then gave us plenty of privacy for the rest of the weekend. The trailer was clean, cozy, and both beds were comfortable. It is very literally in the middle of Squamish, the restaurants we ate at were all within a 5 minute walk. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a quite, simple place and don't mind the space restrictions inherent in staying in a trailer.
Staying at Ivan's hostel was excellent. We never got a chance to meet Ivan but our room was all set up for us when we got there. We stayed there during the Squamish music festival and it was perfect because it was only a 5 minute taxi from the festival. It was good value for our money and what we needed it for, a clean bed and shower. I would recommend it to anyone that is looking for budget accommodation.
My Mom's Trailer was perfect for what we needed- a little escape conveniently located in downtown Squamish. Ivan was such a gracious host and waited until we arrived (which was later than expected due to heavy traffic because of an accident) to show us how everything in the trailer worked. The pictures posted are accurate so there were no surprises when we arrived. Our privacy was respected and we would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Ivan, see you next summer!
We stayed one night at Ivan's place and really enjoyed it! Ivan is very friendly, the house is very nice and the town is very pretty. We stayed in Squamish on our way back from Whistler and Ivan recommended many outdoor activities in and around Squamish. He also recommended some local restaurants, one of them we tried for dinner and it was great. Highly recommendable!

The trailer was ok for one night, but it's worn and not very clean in our opinion. The bathroom/toilet was tiny (you have to be used to that) and the small yard is not really inviting to sit in. I think a few small improvements to the trailer would significantly improve the experience of staying there. We slept well though and Ivan was a very friendly host.
Ivan was a warm, and welcoming host. I came in late, and he was waiting for me,explained how to use everything. The Trailer was just as I expected- A simple, secure place to sleep. Had a secure storage for my bicycles too. Location was right in town- walking distance to all the town shops, restaurants.
The trailer is very private, with its own private yard as the advert says! A cute TV with a range of classics threw us back to the 90's in the evenings. Cosy, quiet. It's really close to Cleavland avenue, which has restaurants and shops.Ivan respected our privacy and gave us a good tour!
