My wife and I came for SXSW and found Helen's studio to be the perfect place to live while in Austin. It's clean, quiet, and so comfortable that we had a hard time not calling it home.
The location is super convenient. There's a bus stop on 38th and Guadalupe that will take you anywhere you need to go. Going from the studio to downtown is just a short ride away, and if you love long walks like us, you might even explore the path down Guadalupe to downtown on foot.
When we wanted to just stay near the studio, there were also coffee shops and grocery stores right around. UT campus is also in the area, meaning you'll find a bunch of student loved eateries as well.
If it's your first time in Austin (like it was for us), I don't think you could find a better host than Helen. Even before we got there, she had a handwritten list of places to check out. She also drew us out maps to help us get better acquainted with the lay of land. The kitchen was stocked with milk, fruits, and cereal to help us transition. Overall, Helen did a great job, and next time we're in Austin, we hope we get the chance to stay at her studio again.
Helen is the guest any host would love to have. Respectful, grateful, kind, appreciative, neat, tidy, pleasant, good natured, a true joy to be around. Welcome her into your home and you will be so happy. Helen is a very rare treasure, someone I hope to cherish in my life for years to come. Thank you for everything Helen.
Helen was the perfect houseguest. She has a very friendly and bubbly personality. We would highly recommend her.
It was such a pleasure to meet and host Helen. She is super nice and friendly. Great guest, we hope she comes back again!
She is cute, responsible, kept clean and organized my room as same as that I prepared. I enjoyed talking with her. Thanks!
