I am co-founder of the Stork Peterkin International Foundation. All proceeds from these rentals go to this foundation to support our programs. This is my passion.
Stork Peterkin International Foundation is building sustainable environments, strong local economies, and thriving culture. Through education and partnering we are building a society that is respectful of the environment, of all animals, the arts, and business. One project at a time we are rebuilding our world.
We have arts programs for youth, seniors, practicing artists, people who would like to be artists. We have organic gardening and farming projects, small business incubation projects, etc.
We have started locally and are making alliances so that eventually we will be part of a global community. The future of the planet is in the hands of the next generation. Exposing and nurturing the youth of today, partnering them with the youth of yesterday, will build a stronger healthier planet.
When I travel, I like to use public transportation and stay in neighborhoods, meet the local people, and build connections. My travel time is limited however as I miss my dogs when I travel. Consequently I have invested in a van called a Sprinter which is large enough for my dogs and myself and spend time traveling fairly close to home. I love to spend the first hour in the morning drinking coffee while the birds feed on seed.
I live deep in the coastal mountains, off grid, about 2 1/2 hours south of San Francisco. I love where I live and hate to leave home. I live in a small valley 2100 feet above sea level with no visible neighbors except for bobcats, mountain lions, deer, coyotes, wild pigs, and other wild things that never cease to amaze me.
